Highly Recommend

I’ve been dealing with an elevated heart rate from constant stress and ptsd from different life events. I started using this app a week ago and I noticed a change within 24 hours. I am still faced with all of the same life challenges, but am completely calm, sleeping better, breathing better, and my heart rate has slowed down. I’m super grateful for the design and freedom to modify the ins, outs, and holds within the different exercises. I upgraded to get access to some different sounds and am very pleased with the affordable price and thoughtfulness that went into this app. I highly recommend it.

Great idea, horrendous execution

I love the idea of the visuals to focus on while doing breathing exercises, the ball and line in particular and to accompany the exercises with nature sounds is nice too. However, expecting people to pay a subscription to this is laughable. Such a simple app does not warrant a subscription at any cost. This should be a one time fee app, maybe 2.99 max, I would have easily bought it at that cost. For a subscription I would expect a lot more, at the very least I would have expected some professionally recorded high def nature sounds instead of the generic ones in this app. I wouldn’t even bother splitting hairs about poor quality/generic audio in an app like this but when you have the audacity as a dev to think this is the kind of app that justifies monthly/yearly renewal then I’d expect top notch quality. If I were you I’d take it out of the App Store, find some better quality audio and better quality animations take out the subscription model and reintroduce it as a one time purchase.

Changed. My. Life.

I’ve been lucky enough to use Pocket Breath Coach as a tester for a few months now and I am so happy to see a full release available. Don’t get me wrong, even in the rough “tester” version this app completely changed my life. I’ve used several other similar apps on the market and Pocket Breath Coach is the clear winner. It is so easy to use and quickly switch up breathing patterns with seamless performance… even running in the background when I lock my phone. But now with the addition of premium sounds and the ability to save custom patterns, it’s even quicker and easier to jump into the perfect guided breathing session when I feel my anxiety building for different reasons. I subscribed immediately when it became available because there were just so many of the features I had been looking for in a guided breathing app. You can really tell the developer spends time listening to his users to give the best possible experience with his app.
