It’s an awesome breathing app! It includes many premade breathing programs and the ability to create your own that fit your individual in and out breaths that you can save for later use. I love how this developer has made the app free and has given us the ability to make voluntary contributions to the team. I really like this idea because it makes it about giving instead of taking. I hope the developer makes plenty of money from the generosity of very satisfied users. Suggestions: Would be nice to have individual volume sliders for the various sounds, but especially for the voices and bells. I like to close my eyes while using the Awesome Breathing App and I find the voices a little too loud and distracting. I would like to lower their volumes while keeping the music volume set higher. Also, I suggest adding some more voice options that sound a little dreamier to match the music. Thanks you!
Could be very good but sound doesn’t work without the screen being on…and continues to run indefinitely after the time has finished in some cases for whatever reason. Would not have known and would’ve continued with the breathing except I added an end of program bell that is not on by default. That term did go off but the app kept going otherwise. In line with it not working without the screen being on as one would expect it will also not work if one navigates to another app. Obviously being engaged with the phone and flipping to another app is not a great idea if you are doing breathing practices, but sometimes one has to clear something or otherwise engage for a moment and even though one could continue uninterrupted with the breathing exercise for continuity during the time it takes to do this it will of course not work. Found these things in the first couple of uses so maybe there is more. I would like to express the app could be really good for breathing exercises with at least fixing being able to shut off the screen, and avoiding any sort of continuation after the timer is finished. All that said I donated to the development effort.
Breath work really helps me to manage my anxiety. I have been using the breathing exercise that comes in a meditation app (Sanvello is great) for the past 3 years. Over time I found myself scrolling through all of the various features and exercises that Ive stopped using regularly just to get to breathing exercise, which got annoying and deterred me from opening the app. Love that I can just open this app right up and get started with breath work. I like the audio options, especially the starting and stopping bell sound. One thing I truly miss about Sanvello and haven’t found in another app yet is having a audio sound of someone breathing deeply (with adjustable pacing) than I can listen to and follow along with. It was great and truly calming! Please please consider adding this to the app, it would make the app a 12/10! ☺️
