This store goes back in time! Back to when the stock and prices were tailored to the American families. When prices were not inflated to justify the elegance of location, huge buildings and parking lots and employees who don’t “see” you, much less greet you neighborly friendliness. When employees took time to help their customers with attention to fulfill the requests for help. A time when customers were not looked upon as “an ignorant bother”. A time when the hard and diligent work was visible. When it was obvious that the employees worked with focus to maintain an efficiency and pleasant atmosphere for everyone. That’s what grocery shopping USED to be. Courtesy and friendly people, both customers and employees, was the “norm”. Well Folks, Grocery Outlet has restored all of those attitudes and practices. EVERYONE is entitled to be treated like they are the best neighbors ever. No More “I gotta go grocery shopping” with a defeated attitude. Now, it’s “I GET to go grocery shopping”!

My experience with reviews over the years has usually centered on documenting less than admirable customer service. However, I have found Grocery Outlet has not only provided great advertised prices but, friendly staff. There’s nothing more disappointing than to go into a place where you spend money and feel like the establishment is doing you a favor by allowing you to shop there. This is not the case with Grocery Outlet. In fact, I’m usually commended for my bargain shopping abilities: no other stores that I’ve shopped at are doing that! The financial climate that we’re in is forcing people to make sound decisions regarding shopping habits. Grocery Outlet definitely helps with that readjustment.

Grocery Outlet is the market closest to where I live, so I go there frequently for basics that they have all the time. Which is not too many things. I resisted getting the app for a while. While they have $5 off $25 or even $5 off $25 promotions, none of the checkers seem to know how to use the app otherwise. The checkers at this location are all on the ball; if *they* can’t figure how to use it, who can?? It’s frustrating when companies create an app just to say they have an app, worse when they don’t instruct employees about how to use them. Add that to those flippin’ mile-long receipts (GO here is attached to CVS; maybe they can have a receipt length contest!) that the owner robotically says they “have no control over” (right. If they lost a dollar for every too-long, unreadable one, it’d be fixed in a day) and how 30% of the price tags are missing, let’s say that GO could be far less irritating.
