Smart & Final

I had the same problem as everyone else with the search option. I noticed today there was an update on the app just put out this morning. I did the update, the search option is fixed. It not longer kicks you out to the blank try again screen. I only gave 4 stars because it has been a hassle with this app. Out of all the stores this is probably the most frustrating. Hopefully with the new update there will be no issues.

Impossible to load the 5-day special deals—you don’t get, say, the $3.99 price on a Pepsi 12-pack, just the $5.99 one. I’ve spent well over an hour trying to get this to work on a current iPhone with the latest app, and it just doesn’t. Maybe get the people who designed the Safeway app to revamp this one—total fail. One star. Update: Thanks to a store employee, who told me I should use the web, not app, version, then delete the app from my phone and reinstall it, I was finally able to get this to work. So I would rate the app 2 stars now, because even though you can get it to work, doing so is a pain, and having to scan barcodes at all after you’ve clipped the digital coupons is an additional, needless hurdle. The Safeway app is a good model for how easily and seamlessly these shopping apps should work. At a minimum, the Smart & Final app should work by itself, without having to set things up (or re-set them up) on the web version. And the barcode scanning requirement should be eliminated.

I have read most of the comments regarding the app. I agree 100%. I stood on the store 20 minutes trying to log in. I changed my password five times in each time it said it wasn’t the correct password I finally gave up and started shopping. I was able to clip the coupon in a different area but it was a online or delivery thing. I asked for help at the checkout they don’t know how to run the app so I had to pay full price for different things that I went there specifically for. Then once I checked out, stood over to the side and tried three times again to login so I could maybe get my credit for the food that I had bought and the items but again I keep getting nothing I can’t. She goes where you’re on the website and not on the app. I’ve deleted the app I’ve rebooted the app I’ve re-created and re-registered and it is still impossible so someone needs to work on your app because I used to love going in there that you didn’t have to do all this work and now it’s a pain in the you know what so please someone work on this so we can continue to have a good quick and easy way to check out without wasting our valuable time and yours
