Here are some tips to get the blood pressure monitor device to connect via Bluetooth (BP3GY1-2N from Costco).
1. Clear the data from the blood pressure monitor by pressing and holding the “M” icon in the bottom left corner. Press and hold for about 10 seconds, until you see the letters CL. Then tap the “M” icon again to clear. (Readings that were taken before the time/date were set seems to screw up the pairing with an error)
2. Remove the pairing of the blood pressure monitor from the app on your phone. Go to settings on bottom right (gear icon). If you see the device listed under “my device” swipe it left to delete.
3. Make sure the time and date are showing on the top of the blood pressure monitor. If not, tap and hold the top part of the screen to manual set the time and date.
4. Make sure your profile info is set up in the app on your phone. Settings (gear icon > my profile. Fill in your data.
5. Have the app on your phone open to the dashboard (bottom left icon) . Take your blood pressure .
Hopefully reading will pop up by itself on your app. This is what worked for me after messing around for a while.
(You can force the device into Bluetooth mode by pressing and holding the “start” button for a few seconds. I think this is used to sync the time and date automatically. But I’m not really sure )

Bluetooth connection drops every so often and reconnecting is very difficult. The manual tells you to hold down the power button, which is not pressable. The manual tells you to go to the Main Menu on the phone app and select download the data again, which is not an option. The whole Bluetooth connectivity issue is a PIA.

Revising this review again and back to it being worthless. What’s the point of having Bluetooth connection to track your blood pressure trend when you have to have a degree in nautical engineering to understand how to make it connect? Any and every other device I have the connect via Bluetooth is simple and straightforward; you turn the device on, my iPhone detects said device, I hit the pairing button and it’s done. Not with this you have to hit and hold some magical combination of buttons on both screens and jump on one leg during a full moon in that ninth month of every other leap year to get it to work this is ridiculous in this day and age. They cannot simplify this and make it work with an update. It’s no better than the old schoolwriting down my trends and a notebook. I would not wish this on my worst enemy as I have literally wasted hours, trying to figure it out, do not purchase.
