OK it’s an App. It’s not the best App and I don’t shop for fishing tackle often enough to warrant having it installed, so it’s barely worth the clutter on the phone screen. But the reason it’s being binned is because it uses Bluetooth enhanced geolocation, purportedly to help locate my nearest store - that’s rubbish! Bluetooth locates you with an accuracy of better than 50feet, and there’s no way AD need to know where I am with that level of detail (except to sell the info) and if I lived 50 ft from a store I think I’d know! I can’t see any reason to be tracked when buying fishing tackle. So, intrusive and unnecessary. I’ll stick to the website (protected by my VPN) in future.
I love that angling direct have got a new app but there could be a few improvements 1-it doesn’t tell you on the main screen that the product is out of stock 2-there are only 6 Products available to view on the main screen but on the website you can view many more 3-if you have got things in your wish list you should be able to click on it and it takes you to the Products main screen 4-at the minute you can get a bigger product description on the website 5-if the product is out of stock I can’t find anywhere that you can click that will send you and email when the product is back in stock but otherwise it’s a brilliant app for all your fishing tackle needs
It’s great to finally have an app, it works great but my biggest complaint is how the product sections work, compared to the website the app has a much more detail product selection compared to the general one on the website, this makes browsing much harder. The other thing, is when signing, it signs you out if you close the app. Would be great to stay signed in!
