This app is actually amazing for it to be free, They have name brand foods, restaurants, fast food, store food & if they don’t have it you can create your own… for free. I’ve never seen a calorie tracking app like that. I also love you can pair it with health app so my steps automatically are recorded on it. I have paid for the paid version and it is just as amazing. i always recommend this app as long as it stays the same. It also gives you diet styles so you can do just regular deficits or you can choose fasting or keto or etc. i will say the app has crashed a few times (nothing will load or show up) I just deleted it or restarted my phone and it went back with all my info saved. i also lost 30 pounds with the app!
This app changed my life. After about 3 months of rigorous exercise and changing my eating habits, I had not lost any weight. I did see a little tone difference in my muscles but the scale was not moving. In a moment of desperation, I started searching the app store to see if there was an app that could help. I downloaded Oatsy and instantly fell in love. I immediately saw what I was doing wrong. Although I thought I made healthy diet changes, it still was not enough to achieve a caloric deficit. It is crazy how food that seems so benign could have such a huge negative impact on one’s weight loss goals. Small snacks like hummus and crackers, a few whole eggs and not egg whites, or maybe that small bowl of Special K before bed could all make the difference between weight loss and weight maintenance. I would have never known had it not been for Oatsy. 3 months later, I have achieved my goal of losing 1 lb per week :-) Forward and Onward!
I was looking for a free macro tracker and this is surprisingly good, it has the basic macros and not much more, the food catalog is good enough for me I have had to create some new foods but that is easy enough i like the fitscore, and the weight tracking, my only complaint is in the basic interface, there are some glitches, or annoyances, some icons are low resolution with rough edges, the birthday roll wheel does not show any numbers so that is not great, and the underlying text when creating a food is way to light, but other than that this is a great value app!
