Some advanced classes are mislabeled, but then there will sometimes be an intermediate that is advanced. The app lets you save to a playlist so you can mark them for yourself. However once they are removed from the replays, the app seems to mark the class as unwatched and it is removed from your playlist. Recently there has been a split recording of a sequence that is edited for both beginner and advanced classes, which does not always work. It would be great (maybe) to allow users to determine what level the classes are with weight on the levels of classes that user completes regularly. The advanced practitioner followers are often more long-term than beginners, and it’s unfortunate that so many yoga classes now cater to the many and occasional rather than the fewer but routine and long-term. Maybe because people are starting to return to studios this could be an important niche, to offer true advanced. It has always been the reason I return, as I actually can break a sweat and feel a challenge, which is not the case in a studio (unless it’s hot). It’s also nice to be able to trust the teacher has your health truly in mind rather than just numbers/popularity.
I can’t rate this App, or Lara’s classes, highly enough. To say it’s been life-changing is an understatement. I have always been active/athletic, and practiced yoga for 20 years before finding Lara. Even so, I often lived with pain from a scoliosis. Prior to practicing with Lara via this app, I was also regaining my strength after pregnancy/ a C-section, and carrying a heavy toddler around. I had diastisis recti, constant neck and back pain, and could not lift my arms above my head without my hands falling asleep. I had limited motion in my hips. I signed up for one of Lara’s free trials, and was at first skeptical. I didn’t have the ‘just had a massage’ feeling after her classes that I had after my usual yoga practice, but I felt noticeably better the day after practicing. I could feel my body changing after only a few classes with Lara. After only one or two classes, I could feel muscles in my core engaging in ways they hadn’t in years, and maybe hadn’t ever. My posture has improved, and I have full range of motion in my shoulders and hips again. Diastisis Recti is gone. An old shoulder injury is virtually gone. Changes in mobility/energy that I’d put down to aging have halted or reversed- I feel years younger. I now live virtually pain free- it’s incredible. I have told everyone I know about Lara, and hope that they’ll start to see benefits, too. I really can’t quantify how much I love these classes, or how much I appreciate Lara’s thoughtfulness in designing this program. I love that the classes are different lengths, and are designed to work alone, or stacked together in modules. It’s perfect for a working mom of young kids, because I know that I can get a good workout if I have 11 or 90 minutes. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lara! Give it a try- you won’t be disappointed.
This new app is amazing! I have been subscriber since LYT Daily Yoga started and this app makes the whole process super easy and seamless. It’s so easy to find classes and save them for later. I’m obsessed with the new download option for when I want to do a class outside or somewhere I don’t have service. The daily classes are always super creative and fun but I still go back to the foundational classes when my body feels like it needs a reminder. Debbi’s Slow Flow classes are also a great option for when I want to move but...slower! I’m also a big fan of the 30 minute class options for when I want to sweat but am short on time. As a yoga teacher, it can be hard to constantly create new classes sometimes but Lara’s classes are always super educational and have inspired some super fun classes!
