idChess – play and learn chess

The accuracy is unbelievable, it feels surreal, like it's out of a science fiction novel. It even works with a sub par tripod and 1 minute games! I do hope they add support for other forms of payment besides roubles, which I am told they are working on, but you can still email them for a trial until then.

I hate that every software company has gone with a subscription model. This app will not let you view moves unless you pay monthly. That’s absolutely absurd. Viewing moves does not require a server, recurring costs, or a backend. Developers should be compensated for their work and so a simple one time app purchase fee is sufficient. If you want to add other features that do require overhead expenses then fine, charge monthly for that but not for just viewing moves and exporting PGNs.
