The app is actually pretty good I’ve used it for several years but this is were I’m going to sound like a hypocrite I do enjoy being able to get alerts relevant to my location but this is where I’m taking issue my phone informed me that the app had tracked my location 178 times over a 3 day period and to emphasize this let’s say hypothetically Texas was under water and the beacons are a path I could walk from my home to college station without getting my feet wet
I enjoy using the app for local weather forecasts - probably the most accurate for my area. The only issue I’ve found with the app is that in every single video that is posted with sound (many are not), the audio breaks up and you can’t hear what the forecasters are saying. The sound gets choppy at points and you just miss what they are saying. I’ve stopped watching the videos because it gets frustrating. Probably need to look into a new microphone or sound card.
This app can save lives especially in the middle of the night when severe weather develops while we are sleeping. The human voice that comes on warning you of approaching severe weather will wake up even the most sound sleeper. The app follows you meaning it warns you of weather no matter where you are.
