Superlocal: Explore Places Map

This is an app I have been looking for since I started traveling more often, to see where I go and turn it into a game. My father-in-law and I have made it a competition to see who can get more miles and it has been so much fun! During this last update and data migration, I did “lose” most of my miles and was confused, so I emailed customer support. I quickly received a response from the ceo who informed me of the new servers and data migration, and that everything should be restored soon. After a few days I was reached out to asking if my miles have been restored. When I said they had not, he opened a support case for me to have it looked into, and within a few days my miles were back and now with the improved accuracy I’m stacking miles even faster than before! I am loving this app and look forward to my future travels so I can watch more of the earth clear and watch my percentage rise.

I love the concept of this app. It's literally GPS proof of the places you've been and the things you've seen, and as somebody of an exploratory nature, having this to reminisce would be super awesome. Really only 3 complaints Membership: I don't think that this app does enough to merit an annual membership, I think they would be better off getting rid of that because I was nearly deterred. They could get a much larger audience if they would just lower the price. Map Scaling: As you zoom out it just turns into a standard map... Not ideal... I feel like there should/could be a way to see your tracks over a large area, even if they aren't particularly detailed, but I'm sure that will come as time goes on. Social Interaction: Making a way to connect with current friends/make new friends based on your frequented areas/interest groups could be huge. Just finding a way to connect people who are close in proximity would make this map amazing Keep working on it! And if you're a potential user, definitely try it out. It's a blast :) Edit: It's been a few months since I posed this, but the app is soooooo slowwwwwww. Like unusable it's so slow. It completely takes away from the point of the app. How is it that apps like cod mobile can render complex 3d environments in ~30-60 seconds but this app can never completely load just the area I've visited in my neighborhood. Extremely disappointed I figured that they would figure out these issues eventually but the developers have completely let me down. I won't be renewing after my year subscription is up.

Hopefully the developers see this and can help. First off, for the developers, the Cities and Countries counter do not seem to work. I have visited over a dozen cities and 6 countries within the app, even having checked it to multiple places while there, but the counter still only shows 0 countries and 2 cities. There is also an issue the the Categories not working. Now, for the review, this app is awesome! I love the concept and really wish we could get more people to join! It is so cool to be able to see all the places you have been, right down to the path you traveled! I am a traveler that crisscrosses the U.S. and other countries often! Being able to compete with other travelers on how much area you have explored is fantastic! Hopefully we can get some of these minor glitches fixed and get some more people in the app and this will be a 5 star from me!!
