I love this app. This is my second time using it. I like how it keeps me on track with the food I can eat and not feel limited or bad about it. I also enjoy that I can still have some of my favorites like cheese. This app has taught me how to also learn my body even if I decide to have a little cheat day with a glass of wine or have popcorn. I simply will skip the veggies the next day and have an all protein day. The only thing I don’t like about the app is that it still feels so outdated with the food descriptions. I think it well past the time the teams nutritionist should do an update on some things that are allowed to eat, such as quinoa or even beans in some cases. But other than time everything is great. I am able to manage my weight and feel beautiful again. Thank you for your help.
Clearly a work in progress app, but it has potential; This is one of the best dietary diary’s I’ve seen in awhile and it’s helping me stay on track with the Dukan Diet. I’m almost a week in! The app monitors your weight lost as you input it, and you can also see your progress on a graph that monitors each Phase and what you should be eating during that phase. It allows you to input if you exercise or not; mood, food and the time you have eaten for the day. You can also post a daily picture and any notes you wanted to diary that day. Cons: It doesn’t allow you to toggle between the days in case you wanted to update/add something. The pictures aren’t completely loaded in the recipe page and some pictures don’t match the description of the recipe, so maybe someone should look into that; and the app doesn’t create a meal plan for you, which is something you may want to include as you improve the app. But so far so good.
I have only been using this app for 5 days, so far. I went on the DUKAN diet in 2010 and lost about 60+/- pounds. (Unfortunately, I had 5 surgeries after that & regained the weight I had lost.) I have been sticking to the program religiously and am loosing again, slowly. I thought having the app would make it a little more interesting and would be easier to keep track of my actual weight lost and have a visual of my progress. I think the creators of this app are missing the mark on several key points. In my opinion, having buttons that are more clearly marked to indicate where to enter the daily weight would be helpful. When I put my numbers in...they are not recorded correctly. A .4 will record as a .3. A .6 will be recorded as a .5, and so on. There is no way (I have found) to correct it. When I go back & enter the correct numbers, it doesn’t “stick”, it will change it again. Hence, the “lost pounds” are not accurate. The totals aren’t even correct for the numbers recorded. It would be nice to have a place to record the amount of water consumed. Perhaps a checklist for the oat bran. I’m still trying to figure out the “codes” denoted by the circles in the foods list. It would be helpful to have a ledger to explain what the colors, solid & empty circles mean. I feel this app could be developed into something very helpful for the dieters. It would nice to be able to take notes, as to journal daily thoughts or events. It seems to me it is missing many helpful tools that could make it a terrific app. When I first saw it, I was definitely going to subscribe to it for a year. Now I’m not so sure. If it doesn’t even record the correct numbers I put in...what real benefits are in the app for me to use it with the diet?
