I’ve used the app for a few years and had no troubles. However, within the last six months it has not worked well at all. When I open it, none of the buttons are responsive. I have to fully close and reopen the app an average of five times to get it to respond. This is a new problem and I want to use the To Go service, so I ensure it. But it is very annoying. This second issue is not a glitch, but a suggestion to improve functionality. The shopping lists are a great feature. Having the option to switch from one shopping list to my others without needing to go back to my account, select shopping lists, then select the new list I want to see would improve the app. For example, if you open a shopping list, have a dropdown menu available that lists your other shopping lists. It’s like walking around a block and realizing you dropped something 5ft back, but instead of just turning around, you need to walk all the way around the block again to get back to your item.
I’m so frustrated by this app. I store my usual shopping items in a shopping list, and select those I need to add to my basket for my weekly shop. So I need this app, it’s so useful to me and if it runs well, then it saves me soo much time in doing my grocery shop. If it runs well. If. After selecting the boxes it’s a toss up if it’ll crash or add everything . Restart the app.. try again.. Ugh. Today I’ve tried to use the app, but it’s just not happening. I’ve restarted it over and over, but I guess it’s too busy? No other app I have has these issues. Every week I select the things I want on my shopping list, scroll up to the top the add.. ok dreaded white screen, selections gone, start again.. long list, takes a long time.. PLEASE FIX APP! Why so long since bug fixes??? There’s so many bugs! App support: please fix this bug - I select a lot of things in my shopping list, then I click the top to get up to the add to cart button. Unless I only have a small number of items the app crashes, and I spend another 20 min selecting all my items again. Please please fix this. I hate it. So frustrating.
To start off, if you’re using this app just to clip coupons and use your Hannaford rewards, this absolutely gets the job done. I’ve started using the “shopping list” feature, and I really do love it! You can sort the list by department (default), or by aisle. There are a couple of things I think would improve the shopping list feature. First, it would be helpful if the app could remember how you sorted your list when you go back into the app. I prefer to sort my list by aisle, and it’s annoying to have to set that every time I I open my list, especially since this app runs a little slow. Another thing that would be useful is the ability to delete things from your list if they are out of stock. Right now, if an item is out of stock, it’s greyed out, and you cannot interact with the item. I have things that are just sitting on my list because they’re out of stock, and I can’t delete them. Overall, a pretty good app. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
