I was using the Screen Recordings smart filter and got stuck in it without any buttons to exit/finish. When the video is loaded, the menu fades away. Clicking on the empty area starts/pauses the video instead of showing the menu. I had to force quit the app to use it again. The Screen Recordings filter is basically unusable. On an iPad Pro 11.
Update: developer fixed issue in the next update. Changing to five stars

I’ve been a BestPhotos user since the beginning. I’m glad to see the app is still alive and well. I’ve been anticipating V3 for a while now! Here’s a quick breakdown of the new update:
Pros:
-The new UI is beautiful
-The app is WAY more stable
-You can now edit metadata of Live Photo’s (finally)
-You can now edit time/date of photos
-Calendar view is sweet
-Compare mode works WAY better
Cons:
-HUGE CON: The location/date editing is now nondestructive. What this means is that the GPS tag isn’t truly changed and changing the date/time actually doubles the size of your image file (because that’s how nondestructive editing works) I would much prefer at least having the option to edit this info permanently by having the app create an entirely new file while deleting the old one (apps like Metapho and Investigator do exactly what I’m speaking of)
-The time/date changing method could use work. I TOTALLY understand the value of being able to bump a bunch of photos up an hour relatively, but sometimes I need to set a bunch of photos to exactly a certain time even if they all might have different times.
Summary: I will continue to love and enjoy using BestPhotos as an organizational and photo comparison tool that is now better looking and more stable, but I will have to continue using Metapho to edit date and location info because of the date/time editing limitations and the lack of destructive/permanent metadata editing.

I have the free version, and I agree with commenter regarding customers should have access to paid version for a time limit to see if it will do what it’s supposed to do and what the customer needs. But still I was thinking about purchasing the updated version until I read some of the reviews. The people who made complaints or wishes were never replied to by customer service or the owner or developer. I don’t understand. This shows me that the company doesn’t really care about their customers. How could you not reply with help or explanation or anything. I’ve read horror stories on other apps by commenters that have lost photos and videos after problems with crashes or whatever. If a company doesn’t care enough to reply to customers problems then I don’t think they really care about my very important photos and videos and some day after spending so much time organizing them they just might be gone. I love what this app says it does but as they say, actions speaks louder than words.
