Mapper for Safari

First, “installation” is basically written directions to manually alter settings on your iphone which are wrong. Clicking on the first link in those directions takes you to google app, or google web page in safari, not Safari settings. You don’t get “manage extensions” for google within the browser. Second, if you go to settings/apps/safari and turn on the mapper for safari extension, clicking any “get directions” link that normally takes you to browser based google maps directions or google maps ap, still takes you to google maps, not apple maps. I want my buck+ back. Maybe I should write an app that charges people a dollar and delivers nothing.

The app will open a Google directions link in Apple Maps ONLY on the initial search page. But once I click on the business itself, the Google directions link below it will open only in Google Maps. The page shown in the screenshots for this app is the page I'm talking about. If you click the Google directions link from that page, the directions will NOT open up in Apple Maps. If there's something I’m missing here, I'm more than willing to change my rating, but for now I give this app 3/5 stars. Even though it's still useful, it fails to fully deliver what is promised.

I’ve always disliked links that send me to Google Maps, so this is a great idea. I downloaded it to my iPhone and ipad. I had to turn off and on the settings several times, but for now, it’s mostly working. I’ve had a few links that open on Google Maps still instead of Apple Maps. Once the bugs are fixed, and developer figures out a way to get maps in Facebook (on Safari) to open on Apple Maps as well, I’ll come back and raise it to 5.
