Duplicate Cleaner App-Softices

This does an excellent job of finding duplicates that other app miss. but is also a tad to aggressive with vaguely similar pics and has problems with focus. As well the selection dots are very small. Miss that and you will find yourself at the top of the page. There is a lot of free space to make the images bigger, 3 photos on a row would give a clearer view of the pix, and allow for bigger selection dots in each group.

So far this app has been awesome especially for being Free. I don’t throw that word (FREE) around with ease. Especially since everything that says Free ends up costing us in so many different ways. Whether it’s annoying Pop-Up ads or ads you have to watch that take forever. Well so far I’ve used this to clean my duplicate pictures best part is you can go through them and make sure that what your deleting actually is a duplicate and not a separate picture taken in burst mode. They do a fantastic job separating those bursts. I just used the app for deleting duplicate contacts as well. This APP actually is FREE and I haven’t had any pop-ups or adds that I had to watch. I’m sure there is a version You can pay for or stuff you can add if you want. Which I would recommend I haven’t added or paid anything to add anything yet. But just from what I’ve used of this app it definitely does what it says and I’m sure that if they offer more options for money it would probably be worth it. GOD BLESS

Doesn’t really work as described. I used the app to scanned my photos to find and remove duplicates. Well, it also finds what it calls "Similar" photos even-though you select the button labeled for finding dups. To make it worse, it will mix in the dups with "similar photos in the results. Very confusing and burdensome to use. One example of this, the "similar" photos are not at all similar! For example, unique photos of my dog were shown as "similar" to photos of people or houses. So you have to manually eliminate such "similar" photos. The same thing happens with dups. It will show 2 photos that are not at all duplicates. Also, it would group very many photos as dups or similar requiring you to manually deselect them (and this is very tedious). Also, once you identified all the dups and moved them trash, it would not remove many of the dups, so you have to go back through the dups and deselect all the ones are not really dups. It’s good that it’s free, but it doesn’t work as described. Very disappointed in the performance of the app. Would not recommend this app at all.
