ARWell PRO

ARWell PRO has been a very cool addition to my therapy toolbox! So many of my patients have not only gross motor deficits, but also attention deficits. This app has been a great way to help them focus their attention on the task I am presenting. Things like standing on one foot or basic strength exercises that tend to be a little boring, but necessary, are made more fun with the immediate visual feedback in augmented reality. It has also turned out to be a fabulous motivator for my patients who really prefer not to be active!

My students are motivated to use this app and enjoy participating in new activities.

ARWell PRO is an amazing product for Physical and Occupational Therapists and their patients. This product is engaging for clients. I’ve seen clients who are difficult to engage in movement and exercise continuously come back to play the games in this product. Clients who notoriously have difficulty with proprioception are able to see themselves on the screen, with is both a motivation to use the product, and a way for them to learn how to use their body in space. As an OT, it reduces time spent on planning complex activities, and eliminates the need to carry heavy equipment from room to room. It’s very easy to learn and implement in practice. ARWell PRO makes my job easier as a therapist while keeping my clients and their families satisfied with their treatment.
