Ameelio Mail: Photos to Prison

I don’t understand how this can be used nationally by thousands of people daily yet have so many issues!! When first downloading the app and trying to make an account it wouldn’t load after putting all my info in, even after restarting app it just showing the spinning loading circle. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app and when trying to make an account again it told me I had already created one even though it never loaded? Anyways, I’m finally into the app now and I write a letter to my incarcerated loved one using the entire 2000 words spending over an hour writing the letter. Then I made a couple colleges to go with it but when trying to add the last one it did the same thing where it just got stuck loading. I gave it time and once again restarted the app because I didn’t want to lose everything I just did but it never loaded. I had to delete the app once again and then when after it was downloaded again I went to finish the letter I was going to send and it was gone and I have to start completely over. This is absolutely ridiculous, I just wasted so much time out of my day trying to work this poorly designed app and there’s just no excuse for these issues to be happening. With all the “bug fixes” that were apparently done how is this happening? It’s not just a minor bug, this basically renders the app unusable. Please take action and fix your app because it’s creating major issues for several other people complaining about this as well and it’s just ridiculous because there isn’t even a web version you can only use the app!!!

My brother told my about this app, and honestly I only thought I would be sending a picture when my brother asks. But then a few days ago, I said to myself, this would be a great way to keep him updated with what is going on with the family. I use to write him letters as a kid, but writing a letter, going to the post office, and getting stands and envelopes was such a hassle. Plus stamps are expensive! This way, through Ameelio, the road to connection is so much more convenient and simpler. I can just open the app, write a letter with some pictures and then click send. Maybe it’s less intimate than writing on physical paper, but for me, it increases the odds dramatically of me staying connected with my brother. It’s been years, possibly even a decade since I last written a letter. With Ameelio, I’ve written 3 letters in the last 2 months. So thank you Ameelio for helping us keep connected. I appreciate the weekly free letters. I think my only complaint is that when I created my account, I accidentally wrote the wrong prisoner address and was told I’d have to make a new account to “fix”. Bummer. Please fix that to allow users to edit prisoner addresses and changing my email! I’m scared to log out of my current account because I’ll lose access to my memories.

I love this app because I can keep in touch with my mom who is in person it’s really great yes I do get phone calls from her but still when you can’t send something to her and it takes weeks even months Emilio only takes 7 to 10 days I know it may seem like a long time but once they get it it’s so crazy now here’s what I think you should download it you can keep in touch with your relative this is not just one of the fake people who didn’t even use the app this is a real person and this was very helpful I can finally keep in contact with my mom so thank you Emilio I really appreciate it so much you may not be Reading list but please do if you have a family member in jail or prison keep in contact with him not even and not just call thank you for reading this now sent that I have on my name if you fax do you want me to know more if you don’t you can click onto the next review if you do say in this review OK you decided to stay that’s good well it’s great I love my mom dearly and I don’t always get phone calls from her so thanks Emilio goodbye❤️
