Wonderful app for initial exposure and practice in solving a large variety of Calculus problems through a progression timeline that’s well thought out. The app feels wonderful to use. I also helps to take my attention away from other phone applications that I feel are a poor use of time spent. Another reviewer mentioned it, but I hope they add Trigonometry (specifically identities) soon.
As a student who will be taking Ap Calculus in the near future Xygos has allowed me to get ahead in this endeavor. The applications for this style learning is limitless and could easily be adapted to adjacent fields such as chemistry, physics biology, and even potentially language arts. In addition to this, the UI presents a manner where a student can easily given topics and unit. What I would like to see in the introduction of a concept however is a short explanation on why each step works I feel like this could greatly improve people’s understandings of why and how to do something additionally, there should be a tab that reviews specific identities such as unit circle memorization and also trigonometric identities overall really well designed app with great potential!
FunctionalityThe app offers a broad range of calculus topics, from limits and derivatives to integrals and multivariable calculus. It has a mix of practice problems, video lessons, and quizzes that help reinforce understanding. The content is well-structured, and the interactive nature makes it suitable for both beginners and more advanced students.Ease of UseThe app’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly. It’s easy to navigate through topics, and features like bookmarks and progress tracking allow users to keep track of where they are in their learning journey. The layout is clean, and the equations are presented clearly, even on small screens.FeaturesOne of the standout features is the video tutorials provided by calculus experts. These tutorials are broken down into digestible chunks, making complex topics easier to grasp. Additionally, the app provides step-by-step solutions to problems, allowing users to learn the reasoning behind each step. There is also a built-in calculator for solving equations, which is handy for quick computations.Learning ExperienceThe app is designed to adapt to the user’s learning pace. With spaced repetition, quizzes, and problem sets of varying difficulty, the learning experience feels dynamic. The app also allows users to focus on specific areas where they might need improvement, making it a personalized learning tool. However, while the explanations are generally clear, users might need prior basic knowledge in calculus to get the most out of it.Pros:•Interactive lessons with clear, concise explanations•Step-by-step problem solving•Personalized learning with progress tracking•Helpful for both review and learning from scratch
