This game really needs an update, and BAD. Woofchat was enjoyable when I started playing in early July, even with its disadvantages, like how it crashed every minute or so. Eventually, it just got filled to the brim with younger children and non-English speakers. Along with that, I can’t find anyone else with the same interests as me. Everyone is just K-POP fans and I don’t find it the most enjoyable to hang out around some of those people. A lot of kids on there also online date, which is a MAJOR problem. I would also like to find a server that I can speak to others in, but you can’t go to any other servers. This game needs to be fixed, and it needs to have more features that can help everyone enjoy their experience on Woofchat.
Just found out about this game, and I’m a huge fan of video games so I decided to be one of my favorite characters, only to find that there‘s one map with a server that not only filled with children but also with different languages. I haven’t joined a server that included a single English speaking person. All that time gone to waste making the character. I wish the developer really touched on expanding the variety of languages, and input other players who speak the same language. Take Roblox for example, they put players into servers that speak the same language as them. Another thing to rant about is the way that there really isn’t any other fandom besides Kpop. I expected to jump into servers with different fandom only to see everyone in a default or personally made kpop character. That really takes away the point that the game is trying to give. How could I engage and communicate when other players have nothing in common with me?? It defeats the purpose of the game and even more defeats my experience and enjoyment. Three stars for generosity.
The game itself is honestly incredibly boring, but it’s saving grace is the players. The demographic they have going on right now is amazing, and I find myself enjoying this game for that sole reason. Honestly, this game would be a lot better if they worked on beefing up the servers and adding more variety. You can only do so much with the one map provided, and even when the players make up for it, more often than not you’re restarting/crashing out the app every 5 minutes when there’s a lot of players. It’s incredibly frustrating to be talking to someone and suddenly get lagged out, and then the same thing happen again not even 5 minutes later because when the server crashes, everyone crashes and then it’s the same amount of people reloading in to a server that can’t hold them. Besides that, this game is fun for socializing if you really have the patience to deal with the constant crashing.
