Water tracker Waterllama

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to take a minute to just say how incredibly designed this app is and how it already changed my habits so that I’m drinking more water and starting a healthier lifestyle. Not only has it made me feel like my health goals are achievable, the design and user friendly interface is brilliant. Not to mention the characters are so stinking cute!! And the extra little features in the app? Weasel out of Wine? Sober Bear? Adorable. Clever. Brilliant. It’s a lighthearted and happy addition to my daily routine. When I see the notification, I genuinely feel a bit of gratitude for the thought they put into this to help change behavior for the better. Whoever designed this—hats off to you. I truly enjoy this app. And it inspired me to download foodllama as well! Which is equally enjoyable and helpful. Last but not least: the app purchasing option is unbelievably fair and makes me respect them a million times over. I am so appreciative to waterllama and foodllama for their pricing options. I hate how the new era of subscription models rob people by charging $39 per month for a product that people used to be able to buy one time for that price. The subscription fad has gotten out of control and overcharges people. Not these developers — they offer a fair price for a quality product and I commend them for it. Thank you to all the developers, designers, and creators! You deserve all the app awards! I’m obsessed!

As someone with P.O.T.S. (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) I originally had to just drink 60oz which I found fairly easy. Still not the easiest thing but I normally drank 40 or 50 oz a day so it wasn’t extremely hard. Then, my symptoms still didn’t go away and I still got super dizzy. So, my doctors said I had to go up to 100oz which is challenging especially when I forget to do about a million things all the time I also forget to grab something or well drink water! My friend suggested getting some sort of app that sends reminders to my phone and my reminders app on my phone I find boring and some of the apps I saw seemed super fun. Until you got into them. Some of them didn’t even remind me to drink water and others were like $10 a month and no other option?!? That’s a total of $120 a year and it wouldn’t even let me have notifications unless I had the “premium” this app is so incredible though. I am able to actually get reminders and just $9 for lifetime is so incredibly amazing. I am so glad i Found this app! It’s so motivation too especially with the characters I can unlock! I haven’t bought the lifetime yet but I am doing it soon. Even without you are still able to do exactly what you need too! The others apps it’s like as soon as You touch something it asks you to pay😂. I love this app!!!

I’m only on the first day of using the app (the free version) but so far it’s very easy to use. It’s fun to tap how much water you drank and then watch the llama fill up, and I wasn’t expecting it to also show you how much you’ve reached towards your goal along with how much you have left to drink to reach your goal for the day. There are links to articles on the science of hydration too, which I find helpful. I like how it explains why different types of drinks don’t give the same amount of hydration, and it will track a few other drinks in the free version besides just water, such as coffee and tea, and a few others that I’ve forgotten. The premium version will unlock several other specific drink options, even specific types of alcohol, other characters besides the llama, and even challenges where you can unlock new characters for reaching your goals for a few days in a row. The challenges seem to be well thought out from what I could see, but I can not actually do any of them since I am just using the free version. I think it may be a bit too soon for them to already be asking me for a review, since I haven’t even completed my first day yet, but maybe they’re just trying to get the word out there about it. If they ask for an updated review later, I’ll have more experience with the app and can give more details. So far, I do like the app and since I already was using just a plain timer to remind me to drink enough water each day, I’m pretty sure I’ll continue using this app because filing up a llama is much more fun than just resetting a timer!
