Thursday Dating

This app is different to the other apps I’ve tried but mostly I found I get the same usual nonsense as other dating apps. I love the concept you can only use it in a thursday which is brilliant as online dating is toxic I’ve found so it’s a relief to not able constantly swiping each day and getting nothing back. But I’ve found I still get ghosted lots by people who are obviously not serious about genuinely finding someone. Its the same old story they build a profile with five pictures and say they want this and that but really they have no idea what they are looking for it seems. Also for the past two weeks the app doesn’t work on my phone all of a sudden. I go to turn it on but it doesn’t go anywhere it just keeps not opening which is strange and annoying at the same time. It used to work before with no problems and it does work in my phone so I would like that resolved please. Overall I’m a fan of the app as it’s not used every day which is a bit more calmer and less stressful for me and probably a lot of other people too. The technical issues have to be fixed straight away though and I also would ask if you can vet people properly as too many people on here and other dating apps are just here to waste others time and it’s really not fair or correct as there are many genuine people really looking to meet someone and hopefully build something serious with.

I really like this app, it’s a very nice concept and I like how it kind of forces you/whoever you’re talking to to take the initiative quickly instead of mindlessly chatting forever and never doing anything about it. It is however very very buggy. It’s happened to me a few times where the app will randomly close itself, the profiles will suddenly disappear and then new ones reappear, and, most annoyingly, it will log me completely out of the whole app, deleting my profile in the process. This happened one time while I was talking to someone who asked if I wanted to meet up, and as I was typing my reply to accept and set up a date, the app closed. When I clicked to open it again, it was making me re-register, and all my matches and conversations were gone. Really frustrating as I really like this app, so I hope they will sort out all of these bugs so I can start using it again.

Editing as app worked week #2 If you are here I presume you want to know if this is any good. In short no, lots of social media hype but app still feels like the other dating apps (idea is good though). Sign up asks for loads of info to verify and prevent cat fishing but to be honest still a bit concerned how safe my data is as app was unstable to begin with I will give this one or two more Thursdays and delete if still not working for me. Heavy on social media presence but you can’t change the people using the app and I don’t seem to be finding or getting liked from people I’m looking for. It’s an app don’t expect miracles and don’t pay to have an opportunity to date people. No patch or update will ever fix this Furthermore I specifically stayed away from app dating for many years as it wasn’t for me. I was enticed back by the buzz and exclusivity proposed by this app but it’s too good to be true. My advice (man or woman) is to go out more have more face to face convos and remove another reason to be pinned to your phone. It’s a lazy way of meeting new people and dating and values are built off poor building blocks. I’m not the fun police but I think the waters a very muddy and you can meet people in person and still have the fun you want
