I’ve been using the app for one day and it is a simple way to help track anti-inflammatory foods to help with improving health. The only issue that I see is that it seems to be grossly over calculating my calorie intake. After eating on planned for the day, it said that I ate 8000+cal which which was not accurate. I’m not sure how to understand what I did wrong or connect with the company so I left a review. Thanks team!
I got this cause it had a plan for low fodmap. The suggestions are create but you are stuck with a meal plan for a whole week if you don’t like it. It doesn’t give you options to get a new meal plan for the week. You can select different meals based on the different recipe options they give each days. Sometimes the recipe pages don’t load at all or properly and it doesn’t tell you details about your macros. I’m specifically trying to lose weight and would love to see what the macros are. They have a setting where you can put in your weight goal but other than that, you don’t get to see much of anything else. Recipes are great and the shopping list function is great but, it recipes don’t load. I’m paying for the subscription and wish I wasn’t. It doesn’t have much of a calorie counter or tell you portions to eat each day.
So far I’m not super impressed based on my current needs. I started the free low FODMAP diet. There are tons of free and paid diets to choose from and I suspect the app is better for logging some diets than others (better for low-fat for example). Pros and Cons: • It gives me an abundance of recipes which is great for people who have time to prepare 3 meals + 1 snack a day. (But seriously that is a cool feature). • The logging food feature is okay— though not as user friendly as diet apps like WW and Noom which seem to intuitively know which food you’re searching for to log (while in this app, I searched for “tomato” and the first 100 results were tomato paste and tomato ketchup 🙄). • The menu scanning feature sounds cool, but it’s not free and I’m not feeling the need to fork over money for diet support right now. • The biggest and most disappointing thing is that for the low FODMAP diet, there is no feedback after you log your food. Apps like “FODMAP” have a happy or sad face next to the food, telling you instantly if it’s good or bad for your belly. The problem with other apps that tell you whether food is low or high, though, is that they don’t have a comprehensive list of foods (they don’t gave brands for example) or scanning feature like this app does. • The app tells you how many grams of carbs, fat, and protein are in each of the foods you log, which is handy if you’re watching any of those things, which I’m not. TLDR: Not built for a low-FODMAP diet. I’m looking for an app that will help me log my food AND gives me instant feedback on whether the food is high or low in FODMAPs. So far I can only find one or the other.
