Sleep Recorder & Sleep Tracker

So first of all, I would just like to say that I was happy that I found an app where it was free and I didn’t have to pay for anything unless I wanted premium features. And I was also thrilled that there was an app like this out here where I wouldn’t have to worry about the text to speech on my phone, not being able to pick up the text. But I have one question that I need to ask. So I was just wondering. If it is possible to still monitor for sleep while watching something in order to go to sleep. Or in other words using your phone for other things. I ask this because I am the kind of person that holds background noise in order to go to sleep. That’s just how I am so I was just wondering about that. Thank you for creating free accessible app.

Need an ad to make money? Have us watch a video before or after we use the record function, etc. There are better ways. But, to gatekeep anything after the first 15 sounds in the environment is greedy. I can’t even delete the useless sounds to hear maybe something actually useful to my health. By putting the recordings behind a paywall with no work around, this app is just another exploitation of economic status. Sound crazy? Well, if you’re poor, you tend to live in closer environments, closer to the cities where it’s louder. So, by living in a lower economical status community, like I do, it’s going to pick up way more sounds than if you were living in a countryside home or a suburb. You also tend to have more health issues and therefore have more need of an app like this. By not being able to hear the others recordings in some way or manner (by deleting the ones that are just cars driving by etc.) or by just allowing them to be free with ads of some kind, the people behind this app are actually committing socioeconomic status discrimination. Being poor is expensive, and this app and the people behind it, are just another unnecessary impediment of socioeconomic progress for the people who really need it. Premium is a lazy money grab.

Excellent dashboard style charts are included in this easy to use data collection tool. Love the results! A quick glance at the charts or the history, and I can see clearly how well I sleep given different habits — like if I drink wine or if I exercise on any given day. I can see how long I stay in light sleep or deep sleep, which helps me understand my patterns well enough that I can make small improvements over time with great results. I feel better since I sleep better since I started drinking water an hour before bedtime and since I put up light blocking window blinds. I even tested taking melatonin (1 tab did nothing but 2 tabs worked great!). Earplugs don’t help but better airflow and a cooler room temperature does wonders! I like that this app empowers me to be my own detective and find ways to improve my health! It even has a great notification feature to remind me to turn it on... and I’m rewarded every morning with another bit of history informing me how to be happier, healthier and more at ease in my skin. In sum, whomever conducted the usability study for this software is brilliant! And so are the software engineers who brought the concepts into reality. Every person who sleeps better is one more rested sane calm soul living, working and interacting with others. Thank you for creating something so elegant and useful! You are saving the world, one better sleeper at a time!
