Overall I really enjoy the game but I have a few suggestions: 1. Quick substitutions: during a game if a player is really tired it should display on option to sub them of with just one click of a button. 2. Updating the jerseys: I know it’s a lot to ask for but changing the jerseys every season to be similar to the irl jerseys would be nice or at least a customization option for the + version. Also 3rd kits would be nice, also if it is an away game it should automatically select the away kit or maybe the home kit if the away kit is too similar to the other teams home kit. Captains, little trophy lift kind of things after winning a trophy or even the other team beating you, and more in depth tactics would be nice as well. Thank you.
Sometimes you score brilliant goals, and on lower difficulties the gameplay can be really smooth. But that’s rare. The controls are awful. Several times per match a player will do something I don’t want, or not do something I want them to. The player you control on defense will sometimes switch for no reason. Even worse, even 5-star players don’t play their position well. Nobody is ever where you want them and even using aggressive tactics nobody ever puts pressure on the ball. Another fun problem is that opposing players will block your shots if they’re right in front of you, but your players can be directly in front of someone and the ball passes right through. These problems are slightly less annoying when using high level players, but the amount of time and money it takes to get players there is enormous. Not only that, no matter how good a team is, if you take a job as their coach everything gets reset, so you’re always starting from scratch. You need several thousand dollars (2 or 3 seasons if you spend literally nothing) to even get your team to a decent place. It’s a stupid loop where the gameplay is only fun after you grind a lot, and the grinding a lot is only fun if the gameplay is good. There’s not even a simulation option like Retro Bowl. If you want to enjoy 2 or 3 seasons of this game and play on a lower difficulty, sure I’d recommend it. But after a while it’s just not fun
Gameplay is OK unless you wanna play in the Premier league. Was handling OK playing in the United States and French La Liga, but then hired on as a coach in the premier league and even on easy it was unplayable morale and way better than average health I still managed over a season to average a red card every match and six yellow cards per match. Add that to injuries happening at the rate of at least one per game, and don't get me started about the unfair scoring differential. Anytime I score the other team would go down and score one sometimes two goals immediately. Good game for what it is, but boy you guys are proud of your premier league.
