Real War: Not Fake

I saw an ad on Instagram about this game and I didn't have much faith in it, but I decided I'd give it 10 minutes to grab my attention. After 10 minutes I realize this is actually a good game and not sloppily made. The first good thing about this game is the ads aren't that intrusive. An ad plays about every three runs you do and runs can take 45 seconds. That's way better than most mobile games out there. Second good thing about this game is the progression. At fitst I was dying to the first subtraction wall and enemies, but then I upgraded and was able to pass it. This gameplay loop continued for about fifteen minutes and then I finally passed the level! It felt really good! I loved to progression style this game has where you work up from the bottom and slowly climb up. A lot of mobile games don't do that anymore. The third good thing about this game is how it feels to play. Mowing down enemies is satisfying because you can feel a little vibration from the haptic sensor with every kill you get and tire you break. The sound effects are also really solid if you have the sound on (which is rare with mobile games.) That's all I really have to say. Good game and will reccomend it to my friends!

First of all, the game really is like it was in the ad. So they did get that part right. But there are several major flaws in the gameplay. First being the biggest and most prevalent: the ads. The levels are short because you have to upgrade your fire rate and damage A LOT to progress through the level. Collecting enough coins to upgrade these is a chore (unless you watch ads to get double coins) which brings us to the second major flaw. The ads themselves. You have to watch an ad at least every 3 attempts at the levels. You will literally spend more time watching ads than you will playing the game. I understand that the ads are how the developers get paid for making these free games, But forced ads every 3 levels is kinda rude. I also noticed that some of the gates (the ones you shoot at to get more soldiers) are not consistent. One will go from -20 easily to +7 with minimal soldiers, but then you will have another one that will go -40 to -10 with 4x the soldiers. That math ain’t mathin. If you want to make gates progressively harder, make the numbers go up. Don’t lead someone to believe that they will be able to go from -40 to 0 when they have 40 soldiers shooting tons of bullets. Just my thoughts. For someone who actually played top war for a long time (the game that this one claims is the real one from the ads) you have the opportunity to make something good here.

They reverted to the previous version and everything is back. Time will tell how the next update goes - The game just got updated again. I appreciate that there are frequent updates, but this one is terrible. It got rid of all my coins, there is no unlimited mode as far as I can tell. And my guys don’t shoot when I start the game which means it’s completely unplayable. Also, in the previous version, you could just click the chest at the end and not have any ads. Now there is an Ad every single time, even if you die within seconds, which happens every time because the guys don’t shoot.. also, I have been upgrading my money multiplier for like 3 months, it was reset back to 1 with the new update
