RACE THE SUN CHALLENGE EDITION

I was so pumped when I saw this newer version of Race The Sun, as I still play the original. After installing it, I noticed that they wanted the usual $4 or $5 to get the pro version and remove the ads. Well I also try to support dev’s I like so I paid my $4.99. Only problem is it doesn’t remove ads. Every time I crash and try to go back and start over it starts playing some stupid ad. So I scrubbed the app, downloaded and installed it a second time. Opened it and restored the purchase and viola, nothing changed. Still getting ads. So now I’m deleting this app for good and cutting my losses. But I still love the original version.

First of all, I love this game! It pulls off the minimalistic aesthetic really well, and balances fast progression with replay value & fresh daily content. I have noticed a small issue though - on my iOS 13 iPhone SE (first generation), versions 1.27.3 and above crash upon opening. This I believe might be related to the new UI. This doesn't actually affect me as I 1) like the 1.26.2 ui better and 2) find the latest versions a bit too slow for my aging phone, but seeing that this game is listed as compatible with iOS 12 and above, it might be good for that requirement to be bumped up to iOS 14 or something like that. Anyway, thank you for all the work you put into this! I can't recommend it enough.

This game has like, one of the most engaging gameplay loops I have seen on mobile, but a few issues. The menu screen and UI in general don’t really come off with the same style as the gameplay intends, the sound design can feel wonky. Gameplay should be simple, but in a difficult environment. I hope as I get further into it, it won’t be too complicated, or distracting to the maneuverings Now for bias: I think the music sounds nice, but the way it was saved, or some other grain like effect makes it sound lower quality. The music is very important! Gameplay is smooth and fluid, but sometimes it can be hard to read maybe? Idk, if you don’t know something that will dramatically improve the gameplay, besides visuals or whatever, Don’t change it. It’s great
