Pink Noise Generator

Very good if you have trouble falling asleep or like reading it blocks out almost all noise and is very soothing and quite. There are many sounds to pick from and over all is one of the best apps for drowning out background noise. :)

This was a great app until recent updates (labeled as ”bug fixes” in the version history) moved many of the sounds, and the ability to play in the background/when the phone is locked, behind a $25/yr paywall, without warning. I’d have been happy to pay a few dollars to help the developer out but can’t fathom a subscription model, much less at that price, for a minimalist app that shouldn’t require much updating at all. Feels like a money grab. Uninstalling.

This a phenomenal app with a clean layout and high quality content. On top of that there are no ads or a subscription model. The best part is the developer respects your right to privacy by not collecting any data. This app should be at the top of the list for sleep/background noise apps. Thanks to the developer for such a good app that doesn’t collect unnecessary data.
