On My Own

Now I enjoy this game as the survival side of it is fun and there is difficulty in surviving, I found myself dying quickly the first time I played and watched videos on how to get food. The thing is, it’s just kinda boring after awhile of playing the game and note I never bought the biomes but just the main place is very repetitive if you’ve played it enough times. And I think that adding a reward system or a achievement system would be cool, like if you make everything you can for one biome you maybe might half unlock the next place, and to fully unlock the next place you might have to survive for 4-6 years or something like that. But you could still leave in the biome money thing and still make money. But that’s just my thoughts and opinions so thank you and have a good day!

Survival is my favorite genre. I’ve been playing games since I was 5 years old. I’m very picky when it comes to dedicating time to a video game. This game is worth it. I’m 30 now and I have to say the pixel art in this game gives me nostalgia. I feel like a little kid again playing on the SNES. I love the attention to detail put into this game. I love that it’s not a story driven game. It’s less of a cinematic experience, more of a isolated relaxing journey. The ambient nature sounds and soundtrack is PERFECT. I really hope On My Own keeps adding new features and updates. The only suggestions I have is adding more layers to the land so it doesn’t feel so flat. Maybe I didn’t explore far enough, but I don’t see any cliffs or hills on the terrain. It’s not a major thing but it could help break things up a bit so it doesn’t look too similar throughout the level. Another suggestion I have is adding natural disasters. Man vs nature doesn’t only mean stay fed and well rested. I have yet to see a survival game include this feature. I think it would really be something that can make it that much more unique and interesting. As much as we know how beautiful nature can be, it can also be terrifyingly ugly. Thanks for reading this.
