Odeko - Order Local Coffee

1. To start: When I select a shop, I get a pop up that confirms I selected that shop. It isn’t necessary. I know I selected that shop. The selection buttons are big with large clear fonts and the shop’s name is very present. Can you get rid of it? 2. The app’s default ‘ready in’ time is 10 minutes, but I usually schedule my coffee before my commute (35 miles). When I select the time and press the Confirm button, it is still on the default setting of 10 minutes. I have to press an additional button below the time I just confirmed. Why is this? I hit the Confirm button. That’s what confirm means. If I realize the mistake early enough, I have to call the shop and reschedule over the phone. If I don’t realize it, I arrive to cold coffee or none at all because they tossed it. Multiple times. Can you make it so that when I use your Schedule function and press Confirm, that’s all I have to do? 3. The default payment is Wallet, but I prefer Apple Pay. I have to change every time. If I click on wallet, it says my preferred payment is Apple Pay. But it doesn’t use Apple Pay automatically. It goes to Wallet. I shouldn’t have to select it every time if the app knows it’s my preferred method of payment. It’s almost as if you want me to use what you prefer, not what I prefer. Can you fix that? 4. I still wish I could make my own default shop so I didn’t have to search for it every time. My favorite shop is toward the end of my commute (35 miles), not at the beginning near my house. I have to scroll through, or search, or hit favorites to find it because there are multiple shops in between where I start and where I stop. Would you think about it?

This app has always been great and I’ve had it since it was called Cloosiv, so I’ve seen it go through many updates and changes. Unlike a lot of apps, Odeko has gotten better with each update! If I ever notice a bug/glitch, I check the AppStore and realize there’s already an update available and then it’s fixed. It’s a great idea and I love how easy it makes it to order coffee. I’m kind of socially anxious, so being able to put in my complicated coffee order online is super helpful, plus it makes me want to visit local coffee shops more. Overall, Odeko is a great app that makes everything more convenient. Highly recommend!

I wanted to love this app. The concept is so compelling. The idea of placing an order while walking my dog and then swinging by to pick it up a little later. But in reality the app fails frequently and without warning. Sometimes it gets stuck loading at the get go, sometimes it freezes after submitting an order leaving your order status in question. Sometimes it won’t let me sign in, other times it says my payment form is invalid (even though nothing has changed) and then accepts it later. Most recently I actually received a message saying “something went wrong. Your order might have gone through. Check your receipts.” 🤔 Went to the coffeeshop I had attempted to order from and they hadn’t received it (they also expressed disappointment in the app). In summary, when it works, it’s wonderfully convenient. But when it fails, which is often, it’s a waste of time.
