Nectar: Shop & Collect Points

This was the first Nectar app I downloaded, then a few years ago was asked download the ‘New Nectar’ app which in appearance seemed to be visually more user friendly. But in 2023 or 2022 the ‘New Nectar’ app started crashing and signing me out. I tried looking for it on the App Store but it had disappeared. Was it an app? Im confused. Anyway, back to this app - the original Nectar app. It’s ok to use but the graphics for each of the categories fill the whole screen so it takes longer to scroll through (the other ‘app’ had smaller category buttons which sat in a grid format). The biggest bug-bear for me is that when I click through to view my Nectar offers, each offer covers the entire screen instead of a smaller grid system which the other ‘app’ used, so I have to save the offers then go into the saved offers section to view them better. It’s the only thing I find annoying on this app - hence the loss of a star. Back to the other ‘app’, it now seems to take me to a web version of Nectar. Was that what it was and was never an app? Can the developers help me out?

app working good for me at the moment, on latest version. and desktop is working ok too. 4 stars though due to a couple of issues. i do main shop on wednesday t-times and my points offers run out at midnight that day. all good, BUT…why on tuesdays do both my extra points offers and also smart price offers say ends tomorrow, but when i go shopping on wednesday the smart price offers have disappeared….they both suggest they end at the same time, sort this out please, i am very busy and keep forgetting to get some the day before as they aren’t ending when they say hence i miss some offers. also if these smart prices are tailored to the shopper how can they use some of them if they end the day before they normally shop, it would make sense to tie in with the points offers, would give the shopper more chance to buy more of the smart shop items. they seem to arrive a bit all over the place but points offers are always late tuesday afternoons. not good trying to juggle these offers when you are very busy. also stop adding products that are discontinued on either points offers or smart shop offers. seems everything i buy keeps getting discontinued but you keep adding offers weeks after they’ve gone.

Can see running balance almost instantly once you have checked out at Sainsburys. Actually gives you offers on products you usually buy with higher points 3/4 weeks on staple items such as bacon & sausages. Could do with a bit more variety on some of the other items I buy every week as well as sometimes don’t fancy a lot of the stuff offered extra points on but still end up buying them purely for the extra points (which was handy during ‘lockdown’ but now is going to stop again (unless >50pts per item). Happy that not given vouchers for items never purchased such as pet food, alcohol, etc. Would like to see more offers on fuel purchases now using car more even if just double/triple points on >15litres purchase at Sainsburys (rather than the more expensive & further away Esso) once a month. Same with offers on toiletries as well. Would be nice to see more partners sign up as most I have no use for other than eBay & maybe Ebuyer once or twice a year. Maybe worth partnering with O2 so to collect points each month on mobile bills (I spend upwards of £160 each month on the 5 connections with O2 & would get me a significant amount of points each month & maybe keep me on the higher cost tariffs). Tbh I usually save my points up for the Christmas shop at Sainsburys which the weekly offers help a lot. Can easily break £25+ of points each month with generous bonuses such as ‘300 or double points on next shop/swipe’. Keep up the good work👍🏻
