mytello: International calling

I have finally found an affordable way to call UK numbers from the USA! The online website and app were easy to navigate to set-up my account and the pricing is exceptional! They also show the going rate per minute for each country you want to call. The phone calls are reliable and have a strong connection and this has been really useful to call UK numbers that don’t offer WiFi calling. Thanks mytello!

Once you install the current incarnation of this app and create via it a new account, do not ever try to logout. If you do, you’ll never be able to login again because all the app will do is ask you to register your phone number (which you already did in the beginning before when you created your account). If you try to register your number again, you’ll never get the expected SMS with a validation number because I guess you already registered your phone number with it. So now you’re in a catch 22 paragraph unable to login and as result unable to use the app. You can use the credentials created via the app to login into the company website but there you have no option to make a call (this can be done only via the app that you now cannot login into in order to do this). So basically you’re left without options to make a call. Support is non-existent over the weekends so you’re on your own figuring out what to do. What can I say - a great app if what you want is to get frustrated. Not sure how anyone can release such blatant problem for his customers and call it a ‘job well done’. Potential new users be aware - if what you’re looking for is massive headaches from the beginning in exchange of promised low rates, this is the app for you. If that’s not your cup of tea, look elsewhere…

I have only been using MyTello for three months. I live in Thailand and so far have only made calls to both landline and cellular in the USA. The quality of the calls has been excellent. Call duration has been 30-70 minutes 2-3 times per week.. My Tello Call rates have been excellent. I previously had a Skype World Calling Plan until Microsoft closed the Skype Program. I’m saving money using MyTello. Customer Support has been outstanding; Very quick to address my questions and then they have followed up by email to make sure everything is working. Customer support thus far is outstanding.
