We have sold a few books, DVD’s and games on this app along with other similar apps. We understand that these apps will claim some items are missing or damaged even when these items sometimes aren’t. I haven’t had an order where an item isn’t missing or damaged. A lot of things are only going for 1p. But it’s very suspicious that it’s the items they claim are worth more, usually over £1 are the items that have arrived damaged. We had an order over £22 with 64 items and only got £6. The most expensive thing they accepted was 84p. I spent ages sorting through these items I have binned a lot that aren’t in sellable condition and checked that discs are in boxes and it’s not worth it anymore.
It’s finally time for a first review, after hundreds of CDs bought from and sold to Magpie for over a decade, but unfortunately, it’s not for good reasons. More and more nowadays, they reject items sent to them that are near perfect. I’ve frequently been forced to complain and provide photographic evidence where I can. This has happened with most of my selling orders for about 2 or 3 years. Bluntly put, there are one or two individuals in their checking department who are at best, disorganised and/or at worst, dishonest. I think what has finally made me write a review is how thoroughly I inspected every item this time (94!), checking and logging every disc and booklet for flaws twice over, and still I didn’t get paid for 2 items (was 4 originally), wasted effort. I have sent them the odd item over the years that I knew they would reject, they should expect that, but not in this order. Occasionally, I get posted CD orders where items are not in acceptable condition either. Positives, well laid out website, easy process of sending items, quick payment. Unfortunately let down by one or two individuals.
Where is my money? You have my items, have had an email to say i have been paid but no i have not. There has been no monies from you paid into my bank account. Supposed to be a bank transfer hahaha. If i could give minus stars i would. Beware people they are thieves. They are most definitely thieves, contacted them via email. They told me the money has been transferred, i can assure you no monies have been received. Only had one response to multiple emails, what a shady company this is. They take your gear but do not pay. Am now reporting them to the authorities both police and consumer. They cannot be allowed to continue to deprive people from either their money or their product. Tantamount to theft at the very least.
