Text Me - Phone Call + Texting

UPDATE: I received a response to this post asking me to reach out to an email address; basically the same response that has been provided to every unhappy customer with this product. I sent an email a week ago and still no response. Not surprising really. If I could give this zero stars I would. I used this for a lot of things and now will need to find another app SINCE I STILL CANNOT SEND MESSAGES AFTER 3 WEEKS! AVOID! I have been using this app for a while now and use it to communicate with a number of people. However, recently I lost the ability to send messages. When I reached out to customer service I was told I was flagged for possible spam use and that I was sending too many messages. When I tallied up the message count over the last month I had received 48 more message than I sent. This made no sense. Customer service further told me that “We are aware that sometimes the system blocks regular users too and we are sorry for that. Unfortunately, we have no way to manually override this block nor do we have an ETA on when the pause will be lifted.” So I have been blocked for a specious reason and they can’t override it. I do not send spam, all of my contacts know me and none have blocked me. So TextMe for some inexplicable reason took it upon themselves to block me. STAY AWAY! I will be switching apps.

The app worked great when first purchased but when I restored my subscription and paid Apple everything was fine and received premium features other than advertisements that clogged the app making it unusable. I clicked “restore purchases “ but that button in the app did not work. I clicked purchase monthly premium button but was stopped by Apple saying you already purchased this premium service. I worked with Apple support on the issue this app was having in restoring the purchase. The problem was a complicated issue where my old TextMe account was deleted since I had discontinue the service earlier. When I clicked the restore purchase there wasn’t a TextMe account to restore to. This was not to fault of the TextMe team or Apple. What I need to do was wait now until the restore time-out which will be a couple of weeks, make sure this old purchase is cancelled, then log out the Apple Media account, reboot my iPhone and log back in. Then I can purchase a new TextMe account (do use the old one) and complete the purchase. This issue is not related to the TextMe app or Apple. It is just one of the got you things that can happen to a complex system. The TextMe team was good in responding and providing support!!

I have a twin sister that lives in a different state then me, she has a real phone while i have a iPod. I didn't have a phone number until i got this app, it works for other apps sometimes when it says phone number, U CAN ACTUALLY USE THE PHONE NUMBER FOR CLARIFICATION ON DIFFERENT APPS! I was excited about this until it got logged out of my account. And if i told all of my friends that i got a new phone number every other week then that would just be weird. So if you were to get this I would recommend remembering your password or buying your phone number, but i think you have to pay for it every month. There are also A LOT of ads, every single time you text someone you have a ad pop up, every single time you call someone there is a video ad. And if you want to go ad free then you have to pay for it, EVER WEEK. Or if you pay more then its ever month. If you don't want to to deal with all of this then i would recommend getting a different app. Overall of these bad stuff I think its a pretty good app. Ps. It wont let u send text messages to people that only have emails.
