i ordered a jewellery bundle from Vinted wanting to wear the items on my holiday just under 2 weeks later. the seller sent my order within 24 hours of my purchase, and the estimated delivery was a few days before my holiday. about 4 days after ordering, i tracked it and it said the package had arrived at a location less than an hour away from me, and that was the last update i got. 5-6 days went and it was the last day of the delivery window and still no further information. even the seller messaged me to say she had no idea why i hadn’t received my parcel yet. my holiday has been and gone and only today have i got an update telling me that there’s a chance my parcel will be here within a week, but if its not i have to wait another month once that week is over to report it as a “lost parcel” and they will review whether i am eligible for a refund or not. i wont give it one star because i usually find inpost is the fastest shipping, but unfortunately this is not the first time inpost has “lost” my parcel or done something like this :(
I have just returned from my third trip to the InPost lockers today. Earlier there was apparently a technical problem which stopped the lockers from accepting parcels. I have just checked on the app, it says there are small and medium sized lockers available …… yeeeaaahhh, I drove to the lockers but no availability ( home now and it still says that there is space ). Last week was my first experience of using InPost, I had 4 parcels to send and I tried several lockers over 4 days with no success. My daughter eventually drove to a nearby town to find a lock, that was an 18 mile round trip ….. how can anything be this unreliable? I’m guessing Vinted customers choose this courier because it’s inexpensive but I think my venture into selling on this site will be short lived if I cannot send the parcels. I can’t help wondering why a person can’t put more than one parcel in a locker, my four parcels would have all gone in one locker had that been an option and would have freed up three other lockers for someone else. Surely it wouldn’t be difficult to ask how many parcels you want to send and then scan the appropriate number.? So no joy today and tomorrow will be another day of searching for lockers, it’s such a waste of time.
What a brilliant app. So many delivery services in the UK are unreliable with poor websites/apps and customer service - the InPost app is so simple with really great features like contactless unlocking and being able to see all the parcels you’ve sent and are due to receive with clear timelines. I sell a lot on Vinted, and often buy too, and am really lucky to have an InPost locker practically on my doorstep. InPost & this app have made sending and picking up parcels so much easier for me :) As others have said, the one improvement I'd like to see is to bring back parcel nicknames, as when selling a lot at once it's harder to sort if you can't give parcels custom names.
