ALMOST five stars

First of all, I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for a game but this one deserves it. This tests your listening, retention, and deduction skills to the max. You fall in love with all of the characters and truly feel immersed in the game. I played for literally HOURS and HOURS each day and it still took me about 5 days to beat all of the episodes that have been released. This is probably my favorite game I’ve ever downloaded. BE ADVISED THE GAME IS NOT FINISHED YET! That was a sad/ happy surprise when I finished episode 3. A few minor flaws with it: 1) I don’t like that you have to play 3-5 mini games after each scene to unlock the next part. If I’m paying the $8 to unlock all the parts of that episode, I feel as if it should cover that as well. It can get insanely expensive buying diamonds to try and skip that stupid match game so you can get to the next episode. I would much rather pay a higher fee to buy the game than feel like I’m getting scammed because I want to know what happens. I would recommend either charging 15-20 to unlock all features of that episode or charge a flat rate of $20 for the game and add in different puzzles that don’t cost money but you have to beat to continue than swindling your customers out of more money. 2) Some of the missions or whatever they’re called that you have to beat in order to get diamonds are frustrating. I get not wanting to reveal anything for the plot line but one of them is “get compared to so and so (not giving away spoilers on purpose)” but you have zero idea when or how you’re supposed to do that. The other one is “flirt with so and so while he does this task” which I did, but it didn’t credit that one All and all I would rate this game a 4.7 out of 5 stars but it would be 5/5 with fixes to those parts.

Love!

I came after Duskwood. I found Duskwood right when they released episode 6. I fell in love with the characters, of course the love interest (which I am playing this in hopes he comes here too in the side story!!!!) and the connections they build so well! I recommended Duskwood to friends and one of them said while they were playing, one of the characters asked what they were doing and he forgot that it was a game! Which was exactly the feelings I got while playing it. After Duskwood, I was apart of the waiting group for this game to drop. I was so excited and kinda let down. I decided to leave it. Well, a marriage, a child and a move later I thought to myself I really miss Duskwood): and I played it for the 6th time (I know it’s a lot but seriously I recommend it). I finished and decided to try this again. I’m being patient this time seeing it had improved in further episodes. I have faith in the developers and excited to see where this goes! Side note: I am just REALLY hoping there’s more contact and story with Jake. 😭 I would love love love it if there was ! Honestly a whole game of it would be awesome. Anyway, I would recommend this game !

Mini games are ridiculously created to force you to purchase

Honestly, this game was really fun and I came here from playing Elmwood Trail. There is nothing more infuriating than this game making you play these mini games but actually making it so difficult that there’s like jelly growing all over next to things that you’re really not designed to win so it’s basically trying to get you as frustrated as possible and then almost tricks you into spending money. Literally put down my iPad and almost had $150 charge go through because it automatically pulls it up and enter $150 worth of gems, which is egregious.
