Misfits Market Grocery App

Misfits Market is by far the best app I have ever downloaded on my phone. I can order fresh groceries right from my phone. And when I say fresh I mean they have brands that are making the freshest food without GMOs and the food is USDA ORGANIC. I would 100% reccomend (how do you spell reccomend lol) this app! I reccomend this app. It takes the stress out of going to the grocery store and checking off lists and walking through isles and isles of mostly processed food which can be very tempting. This app has a shopping window and I can keep shopping until about 2 or 2.5 days before it gets delivered. Basically just enough time for my order to process and ship. And then it gets shipped right away. I have noticed that the delivery time is pretty consistent as well. It’s not like early morning one week late evening another. It’s mostly the same time which is great when you are expecting deliveries. Plus they give you a heads up that the grocery is about to be delivered. They pack cool-packs in the delivery box without charging extra so the food comes cold and stays fresh! I absolutely love this app. I noticed that it has a section where it tells you how many gallons of water you didn’t waste and how much less c02 there is because of your impact. Yay. I love it. Variety and savings are my top favorite things about this service. I like that I can find organic and special dietary options without going over my budget too much. There really is so much better variety here than my local mega chain grocery store. Sometimes it’s hard for me to find time to drive out to the closest farm stand. This helps me supplement my fridge and pantry without spending as much money on other grocery delivery services that are not as good. I especially like that I can almost always find something brand new!! For instance, I had not tried all the different types of mushrooms and they aren’t really available at our local grocer. This subscription has been a nice way to broaden my palate and experience new foods and flavors. It’s also easy to change it up, skip a week, or even cancel without feelings unnecessarily hassled and hounded by gotchas and spam emails. I really appreciate what this service is attempting in reducing food waste and I appreciate the ease, variety, and discounts too.

Update Update: The developer responded very kindly to my issue and asked for further clarification. They seem to be owning up to their app's issues. I will get in touch with them and see how they handle it and will update this review accordingly once again. I'm not sure how to get in touch with those who left this comment, though... Update: I updated this review to two stars because the live chat agent canceled the order that was placed for me (after i had canceled my account - see below) and began a refund. as far as actually deleting my account and removing my payment information, there seems to be no way to do that besides live chat agent and then still it takes up to 10 days. purely because this company makes it so difficult to delete your payment or personal information, i still believe it's a scam disguised as a real company. i advise all to stay away. the app and website both won't work properly or load properly. Suspiciously, only "cancel account" button didn't work on the app or website on my phone. after multiple logouts and logins on my computer, i did get it to say it canceled, finally. but it's actually a lie - it still said "active", it still had my payment info with no way to remove it, and despite emailing the staff with explicit instructions to delete everything and cancel my account, i woke up this morning with a charge to my card and confirmation for an order that i never placed and didn't want. this is outright fraud. don't be fooled by their initial coupon offers - it's goal is to trap you and steal your money. avoid at all costs!! apple - remove this app!!!
