I’ve been a migraine sufferer for many years and always attempted to track episodes and triggers but found it difficult to consistently log them down. I found myself starting a log in one notebook then not having access to it and putting it on a random piece of paper to then have misplaced it. Or sometimes saying to myself, I’ll write this down when I find the notebook and inevitably not remembering the specifics or just simply forgetting. This type of tracking is basically useless because my data was inconsistent. Then I came across Migraine Buddy and now I’m able to be consistent with my reporting because my iPhone is always with me. The app is very easy to use. Each category is well thought out with each one presenting many options for simple one click use. Then there is the “other” button to use to explore other items such as in the medication section where I was able to add a prescription drug to my list with mg. Love the fact it will remind me to complete or confirm end times and I can actually pick specific times, good job on the scrolling calendar and time. The triggers section is insightful as I look back at my history where I noticed that my triggers are all over the board and crazy, so all this time I thought alcohol was the cause, I’ve noticed it might be and it might not be?? Who knew! I’m going to have a glass of wine after this. On a serious note, this app gets five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for presentation, ease of execution, and invaluable data tracking abilities. This is a very well engineered app. Thank you.🙏🏻 Diane
As someone who has suffered from migraines for my entire life I was always trying to find an effective way to track them and record details. However, I kept having trouble remembering and keeping everything organized. I love this app because it’s so easy to enter the info, but it also has a good amount of detail. It compiles the data and presents it to you in an interesting way that can help you get a new perspective on symptoms, triggers, and your body’s patterns. I especially like the sleep tracking part (it’s linked to my FitBit, but it can also link to an Apple Watch), as that is one of my main triggers, and having definitive information about my sleep schedule can really help me predict and prevent migraines. The resources are helpful and the chat forum is a wonderful place to discuss your experiences with other migraine sufferers, as well as to get advice or tips on how to manage your migraines. My main issues with the app are mostly that there are occasionally typos, which can sometimes make it feel slightly less professional, and that the layout could probably be improved a little (it’s quite bland and sometimes things kinda blur together). If I were to suggest anything I would suggest the ability to make a more in-depth profile and the option to do private messaging. I believe it would be quite helpful to be able to have one-on-one conversations with people you might have met through the forum.
