LYSSA: Goddess of Rage

It’s a fun game. But they are coming out with new characters and captains faster and faster, and it’s a clear money grab. They release OP captains that you drop $50 on and can instantly start smashing everyone. The P2W aspect really bogs down the P2P side of things. Then there’s the minigames that they release. Again, these are clear money grabs where you need to use so many gems to get through them that it doesn’t really make it that fun. And the maze? Don’t even get me started on that. Never in my life have I seen a game mode in anything geared so heavily to the CPU. They get the exact character they need, at the exact moment every single time. You sit there for 30 minutes doing the same battle over and over and over again just to try to get that 1 game where things align for you. And if you miss it, it’s gone! The maze is so ridiculous I’ve just started ignoring it completely. It is a massive failure. It used to be a decent minigame, where it was challenging but you could actually win and I did, but then a couple updates ago the developers I guess got mad or whatever and decided to basically make it impossible. The game has started great, but the more I play it the more money hungry the devs get and the worse the updates get. Terrible company and the game is so ridiculous, don’t even waste your time downloading. Steer clear.

I started playing this game not too long ago, the premise is ok however when it comes to the special events where you can really get ahead by getting legendary characters,, the special events have 3 levels, each level gets progressively harder which is fine. In the special event, it’s all about getting red tokens, you get them by progressing and grinding through normal gameplay. What I find very unreasonable is that the red tokens you get and spend don’t stack, one mission has me spending 20k tokens, a couple of missions after that one you have to spend 30k, so you have to start from 0 again, and if you somehow manage to get that, another mission has you spending 50k worth of tokens and of course you have to start from 0 again, the developers that made this game clearly don’t value their players. This game was good till the special events killed it for me. The sad thing is that the special events are fun and if great to see progression but when they purposely put up roadblocks for you in the guise of red tokens, somewhat indirectly forcing you to pay real money if you want to progress, pay to win I guess. Special events is what made this game fun and worth playing but it’s also what killed it too. Developer needs to do better. Also the first two photos in the App Store is not even in the game same goes for the ad of the game, how they advertise and what you get are COMPLETELY different

Graphic quality is great, I do wish the female characters had age lines so they didn’t look like they’re in their teens from the neck up. Gameplay is fun, until you notice that you only win 30 points , whereas loosing will cost you 60. There are no ads, which is a massive plus, which makes me want to spend to support it and I have, though a lot of what’s offered doesn’t feel like it’s quite worth the asking price . The battle pass looks like it gives a lot for the money, it’s just $25, and since that’s the price of a McMeal these days, it’s not that bad, unless you’re working a job where that’s a significant amount of budget to be sending on a game. Maybe some smaller upgrades that are more affordable will help finance the base play, like reducing the points lost for $3-$5? More affordable upgrades should result in more sales.
