Knight's Edge: PvP Raid Arena

This game is very fun. I always appreciate when games offer you the option to watch ads for rewards instead of forcing you to watch them or making you pay a few dollars to disable ads. I like all the different ways to play there are as well. The daily and season missions give you an objective to complete while doing missions so it’s not the same mundane thing over and over again. The missions requiring you to use certain weapons provides some guidance on how to spend your coins which is nice. I like how you can adjust your gameplay to make better use of which perks you set for yourself before you enter a match as well as the perks you get from collecting EXP during the matches. My two main problems with this game would be the match making and the perk descriptions. Almost every time I find a match I get matched against people 10-20 levels stronger than me. They do way more damage than me, and when I invade or get invaded I can’t even put a dent into them. For the perk descriptions, I would like them to be more accurate and provide more information. Take the Pulsing Elements perk for example. It’s description reads “Deals damage and applies your weapon’s status effect to nearby enemies”. This lead me to believe that when I got within a certain range of an enemy they would start to receive a constant amount of damage as well as becoming afflicted with my weapon’s status effect. However, it turns out that the perk only activates when you are dealt damage by an enemy. Whenever you receive damage from an enemy with this perk active, that enemy is dealt an amount of damage and becomes affected by your weapon’s status effect. This is not what the perk’s description says it’s supposed to do. Overall great game, but these two issues impact gameplay heavily in my experience.

I’m loving the game so far, but I do have a few things that bother me. Natural progression is the game appears to be tedious and time consuming, and the paid pass is $10 which is a little steep, especially for a mobile game. I wouldn’t mind progression being slow if I was matched in games with people the same level as me, but I keep ending up in games with opponents that have weapons 7-10 levels higher than the ones I have, making the game very unbalanced for me as a player. Another thing that really bothers me, and it’s no fault to the game, is that sometimes one of my teammates will quit the game, making it near impossible to actually win considering most games are close anyways when it’s 3 v 3. It’s hard to waste the time playing a match knowing I’m going to lose because I’m down a teammate, and to make it worse, I lose trophies based on something I cannot control. I’d like to see a story mode of some type added to the game, a way for players to earn coins and chests. The gameplay is very fun, the concept of the game is fresh and very enjoyable, and I understand it’s a newer game so more updates are to come. Anyone debating whether or not to download this game, just do it, you won’t regret it.

This game is a lot of fun and with so many weapon types and runes you can explore quite a few play styles. The costumes are also fun and cool looking. I like the events challenge offering a solo gameplay and the season/trophy system. I like that multiplayer matches don’t last long so you can get a quick game in even if you have a toddler at home. The portals that open allowing you to sneak attack the other team and disrupt their progress is fun and adds more strategy. My only complaint is that it takes a really long time to gather coins to upgrade weapons. A chest doesn’t give you many and it takes a lot to upgrade weapons and runes once they get up in levels. It almost forces you to spend money rather than grind for it. Please allow more coin rewards or reduce the cost of upgrades. I would also like to be able to customize my character itself and not just swap costumes. Picking different genders and having color options for the characters would be a nice start. I look forward to seeing how this games progresses.
