Kndrd: Make Friends IRL

If you just moved to NYC or have been here for years, you want to download Kndrd to get out of your comfort zone and experience so much of what the city has to offer!!!! This app was made to help create spaces for girls to meet in real life, make friends, and get out and be social! Whatever your interests are, guaranteed there are a couple of girls who are also interested. I’ve already met up with a few of the girls I’ve met from the large group cocktail party and I can’t wait for the next one!! Shoutout to Isabella for creating this space to get back to real life, in person hanging out and getting to know each other.

I discovered this app in August and it allowed me to fill my social calendar with things that I may not normally do with my existing friend groups due to different interests, etc. It’s a really great way to meet new friends or even just to be spontaneous and post a hangout and instantly find 4 people that are willing to do something with you. I also like that it’s more hangout based than matching with an individual person, which I think allows for more diversity in a group because you’re not looking for someone who checks all of your friendship goals, but you’re both attending a hangout that speaks to both of your interests without you necessarily having to find that commonality first.

Because of this app, and the creators monumental decision to spread joy, it has changed my life for the better. Because of this app, I’ve been able to have experiences I never thought I would, with so many colorful and great people. I’ve created friendships that I adore. And best of all, you have the freedom to find different things, and be yourself in ways that helps you look for people that add to your life. Isabella, the founder has done the greatest thing. She’s singled out women in the best and most thoughtful way possible. I couldn’t be more proud of her and all that she’s created. It’s joy to join.
