Winn-Dixie

This app barely works. It typically won’t load the ad so it’s just a grey page with a never ending loading circle in the middle that just keeps going around and around and doesn’t stop or load anything. If on the off chance the ad does load and allows you to add things to your list, once you go into the list it doesn’t show up properly with the price/sale information and just lists the item or if it’s multiple items available for a deal it may not even list what you were interested in and the picture doesn’t show up so you’re left to wonder why you added it to the list or what the sale was. When I’ve spoken to employees the only response is “delete and redownload the app” which I’ve done numerous times just to get the same poor results. Obviously it isn’t their job or fault but they must get tired of being asked the same question repeatedly. I’ve been in multiple states and used apps for all of the major supermarkets I’ve needed to shop in and this is BY FAR the worst. The only thing it’s good at is being a consistent let down. If so many other major supermarkets can manage an app like this since they’re all essentially the same app with the same features I would hope that Winn-Dixie could get this figured out. What a disappointment.

I love this the coupons are interactive so it gives me saving on items I shop for and then I also get special offers like 4 times the points or sometimes 8 x points. It’s also has the shopping list feature which is helpful because I forget and have to run back to the store . When you shop you can search for an item and it will give you the aisle it’s on ( make sure the correct location is in the app. I don’t see any cons honestly . Winn Dixie is my go to I have to say mainly because of the app. I have cut my bill by over 60 % on some trips and yes I do use the store brand if it’s a better price the quality is pretty good .

For being such a large supermarket, Winn Dixie unfortunately has the worst shopping app I’ve ever used. You can’t search to see the sale items, it just shows you a ton of items that match your search (it’s nice to know the inventory but it would be helpful to have a section specifically for the sale items that match my search criteria). Secondly, added items to your list don’t get deleted once the sale is over, nor are they separated from the new sale items which means you have to manually go in each week and delete your entire list before adding any new items from the ad that week. In addition, you can’t make the liquor store “your store” which is fine except the alcohol ad only appears sometimes in the ad section, other days you have to just go to the store to see if your liquor is on sale or not (which leaves some, like myself, exploring other stores instead). Many times when you are looking through the ad for too long, the app will exit you out of the ad and give you an “error” message when you try to click on the ad again. This forces you to close the app completely and start over. The app advising where each item is in the store would be an added bonus but there are several store apps (such as Sam’s Club) that don’t show you and they are still considered much more user friendly than the Winn Dixie app. I’m not one to write reviews but I’m disappointed to say that the app has only deteriorated in quality over the years and I truly wish they would allocate more time/funding to making this app a bit better for shoppers. Overall, this app is below standards in regards to what you would expect out of such a large supermarket.
