Fifth Edition Character Sheet

Ive been using this app since 2018 I think. So about 6 years now. What I love about this app is the simplicity and ease of use. Its fast and easy to create a character, if you are already familiar with the abilities of the classes and races. The layout is easy to read. The ability to modify stats and text is really handy. Its not a 5 star app for a few reasons. One is that you cannot see exactly what you are getting when you're creating a character or leveling up. The most you get is a vague and sometimes somewhat inaccurate description of what abilities you're about to get. You must look up the rules which can be annoying if you're not a dnd encyclopedia. The other thing is the ability descriptions in the traits section are always worded differently than the actual rules states them, leading to misinterpretations of your character's abilities. It is once again required to look up the actual rules and abilities and rewrite what the app wrote, which is easy because the app does not hinder you from such customization. Some races and backgrounds are missing in the app, and allot of backgrounds seem to be homebrew but still cool and balanced. One other thing is that the spell slot feature does not mesh with caster and warlock multi-classing. The given interface just doesn't have the UI to support the extra slots for the separate warlock spell slots. My gripes are merely complaints based on inconvenience, not legitimate problems that break the app and make it unusable. Just go to a internet page like Wikidot and copy-paste the actual rules into the character abilities text box. It helps you memorize your charcter's rules better too! Its definitely the best app for how cheap the full feature app is.

Let me preface this by saying I paid for this not because I had to, but because I wanted to. I had been using this app for free for two months. It’s shocking that I can save more than one character, customize the build myself, and saves everything I input and does so much for free. I paid for this app, to because I was interested in the level up system, which is useful, or to get rid of apps, but I bought this app because I feel like it was quite well made. It’s simple and may require a bit of input on your end but it leaves room to customize and lay things out exactly how you want My ONLY gripes: when I’m inputting some text, the box won’t expand further down than where the text is it, and this does t happen everytime but only when add on text somewhere mid paragraph or something. Not a big deal, just got return to add a line and expand the box. Also when you’re at the character information section, my phone brings up the text over where I’m typing, making it a true guessing game if I’m spelling things right haha. Not the biggest deal because when you get it done, it’s done, but it would be nice if there was way to have the app jump up to just over the text keyboard. Overall, must have for all DnD players and you should pay this guy your $3. It’s totally worth it considering the apparent work out in and how much you can do without problem.
