Only been using for a week, but think this is a great idea and very useful and keeps me accountable for daily exercises. Havenโt explored totally, but have cruised through and seen all the areas of the sight. I really like the GOALS - as this really makes me think precisely and more specifically in writing what I want to get out of surgery/process. NOT 5 stars for below reasons 1. Would like to be able to add other exercises in log eg: kayaking, skiing, hiking, cycling etc. 1A. Also note I often might know the time spent, but not the exact mileage - so I estimate. 2. PAIN gauge - this is to broad.. for instance during the day/night I may have little overall pain, then I will cross leg over or trip and extend or flex leg/knee to far and it suddenly intense pain for a Nono-second and goes away.. At night fine, but then wake up when I move around and knee flexes and rolls over something or hits a bone spur, mild irritation, but can be constant all night.. SO PAIN is variable for some and others might be constantโฆ. How do you take this into account? โOn averageโฆโ you might say?? Still that seems to vague. 2A. Would like to have some kind of pain diary that is more specific then general - and one that could be usefully to my care team, if that is useful for them???? Maybe not? Q: why is the exercise log not seen by care team???? Will continue to use and think of ways I would like to see the sight, but so far I think this is a brilliant idea and think how useful could be for not only myself but others in the future.
I like this app. Before surgery I was able to message my care team about pain meds. Havenโt needed to do that again. Like other users I like that you can replay the videos on how to do the exercises. While I recently noticed that my exercise log doesnโt go to my doctor, it has kept me honest about actually doing the exercises. I think itโs quite clever how the exercises get more difficult every 2 weeks. I hate this but itโs almost certainly good for recovery. I share the exercises with my PT and she helps me with form. I have reviewed my โprogressโ and this has been positive. I really suffered the first 2 weeks after surgery, but the progress log shows Iโve consistently gotten better even on days Iโm not so sure. Knocked off 1 star because the Home Screen does not send me to the actual exercise log but rather back to the videos. Easy to avoid this problem but would be better to fix it.
This resource has provides a great deal of information with various educational communication tools where I believe thereโs likely a fit for most if not all! Thereโs video along with script - love it! You can go back and review the material anytime you want. It doesnโt overload with too much information at once and additional material is assigned according to the anticipated date of surgery. Although I use the DHMC portal to communicate most everything, for joint replacement, itโs nice to have all in one place as well as the ability of to message. The only reason I didnโt give 5 stars is I have been insulin king ny steps. Iโve tried and looked it hi but no luck yet. I will further inquire and see if I can get assistance. I imagine more important will be steps post surgery to stay on top of rehab and movement.
