I have the game on Steam already but loved it so much that I wanted to continue to support the devs & buy it here too. Drova is SUCH a great game, you guys. Itโs immersive & intriguingโeven if youโre not a fan of pixel art, youโll love this game. It actually has a lot of depth to it tooโฆsome moments may make you feel completely devastated, and then there will be moments youโll totally bust out laughing. You have a lot of player choice here as wellโฆyou can even attempt to be everyoneโs โheroโ, while secretly robbing them blind behind their backs. Some things you may get away with, and some things will have dire consequencesโmaybe even way later on. Part of the fun is not knowing, and then perhaps totally messing up, lol. The first time I played, I joined the larger of the 2 factions, so Iโm antsy to replay it now and see how the story goes when I make all different choices. Thatโs another plus: complete replayability. Thereโs a reason why Drova has become so popular. At least give the demo a shot hereโwe really need to support these talented indie devs so theyโll keep making the games we love so much!
This is such a cool game, I love the graphics and world building. The story is also super interesting and I would have kept going but my phone kept crashing whenever I got to new people or creatures. So I ended up saving my game every few minutes to make sure I didnโt have to start from way earlier when I got the app back up. This got kind of tedious after a while and honestly ruined the immersion for me, so I gave up and deleted it. My phone is an iPhone 13 and has been having issues already, so I doubt itโs the appโs fault, I was just disappointed my phone couldnโt handle it. Highly recommend if you have a device that can handle it!!!
I think that this game has a lot of great potential. However, it has a few bugs and issues which made me decide not to purchase it. Including unclose-able menus, which soft locks you. Then when you reload your game by force closing the app, it resets some of your progress. This tends to happen during the dialogue where you practice blocking and doing combos. Picking items and equipping/using them can be a bit difficult on iPhone. It would be nice for there to be an item cool down so you know you have used an item. Instead of accidentally using it 2-3 times. Basic enemies have nice mechanics overall, I like how each NPC has their own tidbits of history, overall nice pixel artwork, but thereโs something in it that itโs missing. The lore is okay but thereโs nothing that really grabs and hooks your attention. Iโm not sure how to explain it, but it doesnโt make you feel alive. Like staring endlessly into a black and white still photo. Iโve played plenty of 2D pixel games and RPG games, but this one feels like itโs missing some soul to it. Iโm sorry, if that sounds quite harsh.
