Downloaded app on my iPad. Opened the app, and tutorial asked me to type a word. No way to activate my iPad keyboard. Pressed a couple of icons, and the screen displayed what appeared to be an unusual foreign language (Egyptian, etc.). No way out! Deleted the app and then re-downloaded it to my iPad. Again, a tutorial screen (in English) displayed, asking me to type a word. There was no apparent way for me to activate the iPad keyboard. Aaarrrgh!!
I like the concept, but I don’t think the dictionary is big enough. I tried words like “dross”, “drupe”, “dusty” and “moldy” which weren’t accepted, but they would have helped narrow the gap for me. Despite a promised expansion of the dictionary with your latest update, it still isn’t accepting some of the words I tried to use. I would strongly suggest you use/access an actual external dictionary, instead of cherry picking words and limiting our vocabulary choices.
I like the concept of this game, but there are a couple things that make this app rather frustrating. First, the amount of “valid” words is very small, and I can’t seem to understand why some words are considered invalid. For instance, I once tried the word “grass” but was told it was not a valid word, but the word “brass” was the answer. Also, it would be nice if there was a way to see the exact words that you have narrowed down your guesses to. I can see which letters it must begin with, but when you’re down to a narrow window that begins with two different letters (such as between “awful” and “baked”), it would be helpful to at least see a second letter for the window.
