HITMAN World of Assassination

I have all the Hitman Games on all my devices Steam, Epic, and now on ios. I have loved them since I was a teenager, and I still love them now. I will always support the devs that made this game, and am very grateful for the chance to play one of my favorite games on ios. The gameplay itself on the ios version is playable, but I wish certain aspects of it were more optimized to run on apple silicone. For example why can I use my mouse to aim, but am not able to use a full sized keyboard for movement? If it’s within your scope and skillset please integrate keyboard support. Thank you : )

This game is unplayable, honestly. Yes, the story mode is good and runs decently unless you’re in a very populated area or getting shot at. When that happens, the frames drop to zero, and your screen completely freezes, moving frame by frame every five minutes. Not to mention, Freelancer mode is unplayable as is. The moment you drop in literally not even a second into the cutscene you can tell the audio cuts out from the constant lag. Once you get past that, you’re moving at one frame per second before the game inevitably crashes. Hitman has been my go-to for years and always will be, but this version is nothing short of sloppy. I’m not even sure why they released the game in this state and for an original price of $70? You’ve got to be on something. I wouldn’t pay for this even if it was $10 after having this experience. I’m sad to even be writing this review, but it honestly feels like something they didn’t test or optimize at all just pushed out to make a quick buck. You’ve desecrated the Hitman trilogy by releasing this sorry excuse of a mobile version. I hope major improvements are made and soon. For anyone reading this: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME until it’s fixed. This is just sad.

I had started this game on my 15 Pro when it released. It was playable but could get choppy after a while. The new thermals on the 17 Pro make this game run FLAWLESSLY. It works great with touch controls too! Hitman is my "forever game" (I have over 500 hours across other platforms) so it's really awesome to have all 22 levels in my pocket at all times. So glad they just added Freelancer in an update. I can replay this game from scratch forever so I'm not bothered by this, but it would be nice to have the option of cross-save with other versions, especially since progression is online only anyways. If you have a supported device I highly recommend trying the prologue level for free to get a feel of the performance and controls in this version. This is a must have for Hitman fans.
