This workout app is honestly one of the most disappointing fitness apps I’ve tried. At first, it creates a lot of hype and excitement. It makes you feel like you’re about to get a personalized, high quality workout plan that will really help you improve. The design, the questions it asks, and the way it presents the program all make it seem very professional. But the moment you pay, the reality is completely different. The workouts are generic, poorly structured, and not personalized at all. It feels like the app just throws random exercises together without any real coaching value. Many of the features that seemed promising during the sign up process either don’t exist or are extremely basic. It honestly feels like the whole onboarding experience is designed only to push you to pay. For the price they charge, the value is extremely low. There are many free workout apps that provide better guidance, clearer programs, and more useful features than this one. Overall, the marketing is misleading and overhyped, and the actual product does not deliver what it promises. I would not recommend this app to anyone serious about their fitness.
First, you are immediately hit with a subscription. It’s not extremely expensive if you can afford it, but here’s the catch: if you want to try it for just one month, it’s $19. They also offer a 3-month and a yearly subscription, which end up being cheaper overall. Now the workouts. I have to admit they are actually really good. They do make you work your muscles and burn fat, so the exercises themselves are solid. So why only 2 stars? Because the app promises you will reach your goal in a month, regardless of the weight or goal you input. That is unrealistic and misleading. Another issue is the pacing. For maximum strength it’s recommended to rest 2–5 minutes, and for muscle growth around 1–3 minutes. Even for endurance, newer recommendations suggest longer rest times than the old 30–90 seconds guideline for better results. The problem is that the workouts in the app move too fast and don’t give you enough control over rest time. The exercises are also shown by an AI, which I don’t have a problem with. However, it would be much better if you could slow it down so you can clearly see the correct positions and perform the workouts properly. Anyone who has exercised before knows that it’s more important to do movements slowly with proper form than to rush through them with sloppy technique. The slower you perform the movement and the longer you hold it, the more you feel the burn and actually work the muscle. Overall, the workouts themselves are good, but the unrealistic promises, fast pacing, and lack of control over rest time make the experience frustrating.
After using this fitness app for two months, I’ve been really impressed— the exercise explanations are extremely detailed, and the customized plans are perfectly tailored to my fat-loss goals. It’s super convenient to work out at home, and even fitness beginners can easily follow along. One suggestion: I hope they’ll add a feature for dietary advice in the future, so it can better complement the workouts!
