When I first got this app it was a buggy mess, and frankly still is in terms of uploading and card trading. Both of these issues havenโt been addressed for some time now. UI changes and new features made it more appealing but that new feature, the ability to turn your spots into tradable cards, seems to have been forgotten about since the build queue is backed up until July. My biggest gripe, however, is the moderation. Some mods are excellent, others I doubt know any car other than an R34. So determining what is or isnโt spot worthy is completely down to whichever mod receives your submission. Sometimes one mod will approve your spot only for another to delete it a few days later. This all happens behind the scenes and lacks any transparency for the users. Users can be posting stolen spots but the mods are more concerned with rejecting your niche car spot than banning these frauds. So overall itโs a buggy battery hog mess that is held up by mods that lack any sort of coordination, or in some cases knowledge of cars. Brilliant idea thatโs being pulled down by shoddy moderation and glitchy game mechanics.
I love the fact that you can submit your own spots while also being able to view thousands of others on the map. I like the car-recognition system when submitting spots. I like the collecting, creating, and trading card features. The car spotting leagues are also amazing. The only issue is that every few days when I open the app it logs me out and makes me sign in again. My streaks also randomly end even though Iโm on the app every day. Some of my spots randomly get taken down for no reason. Overall amazing experience but could definitely use some fixing. (Also wondering when the new league season starts๐)
Found this app a few months ago and is a car spotterโs dream, people are allowed to post cool cars in real time and others can view them, and itโs got a game side to it as well. Being able to collect cards of cars like Pokรฉmon GO is very satisfying and enjoyable, along with being able to trade them with friends or strangers. But, even with all of these really great qualities, some I didnโt even mention, it still has its bugs. Occasionally your cards can become glitched and while the main dev behind this game checks the Discord server often, the appโs not perfect. Other glitches have happened to me before about spotting cars, sometimes it just wonโt let me post in certain areas. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Given more time, effort, and people, this app could be one of the best free apps for car guys out there.
