This “updated” app is unreliable and cumbersome. I swim 3-4 times a week. It now takes me 11 clicks to make a single reservation. And if you make a mistake, it’s almost impossible to fix it. Visually, it’s very unpleasant. I swim over an hour so then it takes me another nine clicks to add additional time. Taking the time to sign up doesn’t guarantee you a lane, because no one monitors the sign ups. I suspect many people don’t even bother to sign up because it’s too difficult. I’d be interested to know if the use of the pool has gone down since they’ve gone to this app. Additionally, the pool schedule is often times not updated. So when you could swim when the swim teams aren’t there, it’s not posted. Last summer,I quit swimming completely because trying to find a time was too difficult. I frequently get signed out of the app and signing back in can be a Nightmare. Currently, I am unable to reload the app at all. It’s been like this for two days so this means I have to call and bother the staff at the front desk to make a reservation for a lane.

I mostly use the app to sign up for classes and reserve swim lanes. The classes are in a normal place- just go to schedule and select the class. The swin lane is a whole different system where you go into your account, add a "service" and then purchase (for $0) a lane. This was obviously not designed for the pool!

I use the Y for swimming. The older version of this app allowed me to quickly see lane usage and to reserve a time. This version is awful. It takes many taps to get to the lane spreadsheet. Make an error and you need to start all over. The times and lanes are presented in a huge spreadsheet that is not user friendly at all on my iPhone. It requires sliding left and right and up and down to see any info. For all this, once at the pool, nobody bothers to confirm swimmers are in the lane they reserved. Just show me general use (is it a busy time or slow) and forgo all the rest. And, please, place one button for the reservation system on the home page.
